The Nigeria Fashion Week 2009 started in Lagos last Monday with the wife
of Nigeria Vice President,Mrs.Patience Goodluck Jonathan declaring the
event open at the Shell Hall,Muson Centre,Lagos. Mrs.Jonathan was
accompanied to the event by the wife of Lagos State
governor,Mrs.Abimbola Fashola.
Four designers (Toorad,Rounge,Fashion for Life and Modela) came to
showcase their creative designs to the delight of guests and collectors
at the event.Here we present you some photos from the stock!
Mrs. Patience Goodluck Jonathan, wife of Nigeria vice president was the
special guest of honour at the opening ceremony of the Nigeria Fashion
Week 2009.This is not the first time that the organisers would be
having such high profile personality support their events. Some years
ago, Late Stella Obasanjo (former First Lady of Nigeria) was a firm
supporter of the organisers.
Mrs.Jonathan was honoured by the World Fashion Council at the
ceremony.She expresses her gratitude to the World Fashion council.She
lauded Lexy Mojo-Eyes an members of his team at Nigeria Fashion Week
for a work well done.
It was another great outing for the organizers but trust the epileptic
power supply in the country to rear its ugly head.The interruption of
electric supply show about 4 times was aperhaps a reminder to Mrs.Vice
President of the promise her husband and President Umaru Yar'Dua made
to the nation that incessant seizure of electric supply would soon be a
thing of the past. |
