The 2009 edition of the annual
Future Award came with so much razzmatazz on the red carpet, those who were
confident enough showed up with their ‘special’ friends or partner on the red
carpet. We also had the green carpet. It was pose here, pose there, smile, hugs
and plenty cheers!!!Lets take a look at some of those we captured

Thank you all. I have read through the various comments and observed the ranging controversy over the use of word 'lover'
The photos are well captioned . If you observed, we only captioned three photos as lovers and we are sure....very,very sure.We also chatted with them and we will publish a story that would confirm this soon.So, two people who are in love what else should they be called if not lovers?lol

Niyi, thanks for putting this blog together so I can keep up with NIgerian events. However, the "lover" word just makes me uncomfortable. It might be normal to use it in Nigeria but it denotes some sort of love affair (mostly sex) and not a love relationship between couples. I know it sounds exotic to use the word "lover" but it really cheapens the relationship and makes it seem like it's only about sex. I consider myself to be truly nigerian and therefore try as much as i can to support nigerian initiatives like this blog,however, i think criticism should be welcome where necessary albeit constuctive.
