My husband keep impregnanting women outside wedlock-Pastor's wife
A 51-year-old woman on Wednesday pleaded with an Agege Customary Court to dissolve her 22-year-old marriage over alleged adultery and threat to life.
The petitioner, Mrs Titilayo Oluokun, a prophetess, who lives at 8, Aina Aladi St., Agbado, Lagos, told the court that her husband, though a pastor, went after "everything in skirt''.
"Four women had four children for my husband in the last three years and he also has numerous girl friends; I know some of them because they live on my street.
"I was in the church sometime in 2009 when a woman came with three children, claiming they belonged to my husband, who she said, had neglected her.
"It was a thing of shame because I am the founder of the church and also a prophetess, while my husband is one of the pastors.
"I gave the woman N20, 000 and begged her; I told her not to come to the church to disturb me again and when I told my husband, he only thanked me," she said.
The mother of two children aged nine and 18, told the court that she once brought her husband before another customary court and the case was settled there.
"In the other customary court in 2011, he was asked to write an undertaking that he would not impregnate any other woman again.
"To my surprise, he impregnated two women after that and I knew I had to call it quit with him.
"He beats me at every slight provocation and even threatens to kill me; he does not give the children money for feeding or pay their school fees.
"I got him arrested sometime last year because he wanted to stab me and at the police station, he was asked to move his things out of my house," she said.
The prophetess told the court that her husband had been living in the house which she built.
She urged the court to dissolve the marriage and give her custody of the children.
Her husband, Adewale, did not appear in court and had also been absent in the last two sittings.
The Court President, Mr Emmanuel Sokunle, adjourned the case to April, 3, for further hearing. (NAN)
Festus Keyamo declares governorship ambition
He spoke in Effurun at the maiden meeting of the Delta Forces United, a political platform, which he is using to mobilize Deltans for his ambition.
Contacted, Wednesday, Mr. Keyamo said, "My mission is to take Deltans out of the present state of underdevelopment."
A political activist, Monday Akpokene, who attended the meeting told Vanguard, "Keyamo did not mince words in condemning what he regarded as politics of cronyism, ethnicity and underdevelopment in the state and declared that time has come for the citizens to be liberated from the dynasty of thieves that has been created over the years in Delta State.".
"He pointed out that there has not been much to show for the 14 years of the People Democratic Party, PDP, governance in the state other than a legacy of primitive accumulation and godfatherism, while the masses continue to live in abject poverty with little infrastructural development of the state," my source said.
He said the activist vowed at the meeting to live the rest of his life for the betterment of Delta state, as Deltans, had been held hostage, over time, by members of a cabal, which does not see any other candidate as having the right qualities to govern. -Vanguard

Omotola:I have it,let me flaunt it
If one is told to write an essay on Omotola Jalade Ekehinde,Gistmaster is very sure everyone will say she is an actress, she tried to be a singer...hmmm...okay she is one,at least she is a good performer.I watched her perform for billionaires like Aliko Dangote,Jim Ovia,Femi Otedola and others when ex-stock exchange executive Nicholas Okoye was doing baby christening some years back.
Back to the gist of the day.Omotola has also done much to see herself to the top as one of Nigeria's top actresses.Take it or leave it, she is in the top 3 as far as packaging is concerned in Nollywood.
Omotola keep eyes roving anytime she steps into events. She is not afraid to roll it!Omotola is showing off what is now known as her famous behind. That exactly what she did at the last Africa Magic Viewers Choice awards in Lagos.Even Omotola is showing off the photographs for posterity.
Perhaps the lyrics playing on her mind is "I have it,Let me flaunt it"

My Husband stature was not encouraging-Tope Alabi
I believe it was the plan of God for us to get married. Before he proposed, I never saw Soji as a man that had the standards I desired. Then, I was a ‘big girl’ in the movie industry. I have experiences of many things in life. So, imagine a man, who was staying in one studio and working at all times asking me out! He was too gentle for my liking and his stature was not encouraging either. But I discovered that God’s purpose for our life must come to pass. Then, I never knew that

49 year old woman drugs 80 year old lover boy in Lagos
Things dey happen for Lagos! Just imagine a 49 year old woman robbing her 80 year old lover boy.It is real and the case is now in court. Here is the full detail thanks to Uju Mbanusi and Vanguard newspaper
AN 80-year-old man, Godwin Faworinshe, who claims to be a pastor with a church in Shomolu, Lagos was allegedly drugged and robbed by his 49-year-old mistress, Funmilola Adesanya.
A distraught Faworinshe from Ago-Iwoye in OgunState, told a magistrate court in Yaba that his Ikorodu, Lagos-born mistress added sleeping pills to his medication and bolted with his money after he fell into a deep sleep.
In his testimony in the court, Faworinshe, stated that he had promised to give Funmilola some money to enable her start a new business but she was not patient enough.
According to him, "on that fateful day, I went out in the morning, Funmilola probably thought that I had gone to the bank to collect some huge amount of money. When I got back around 11am, I requested that she give me my medications. I have been on some prescribed medications due to ailments attributed to old age.
And one of the reasons I asked her to move in with me, was to help me with cooking and household chores; otherwise, I have a wife who is currently in my house at Ago-Iwoye, but she is old, so I had to engage Funmi to take care of me. She had always administered the medicines to me. Albeit, without my knowledge, she added some sleeping pills to my medicine that morning and immediately I took it, I slept off till she got the chance to take my bag and the money I had in the bag. The amount she took was N172,000. Thereafter, she ran out of the house."
The pastor further told the court that around 4pm, some of his tenants, who noticed that he had been sleeping for a longer period than he usually did during the day started banging on his door, calling "Baba! Baba!! Baba!!!" When they discovered that the door was not locked, they opened it and found him in deep sleep; they had to pour water on him before he woke. Not able to explain what happened to him, he asked for Funmi, his mistress, and one his of tenants told him that he saw her going out in the morning hours. He searched his room and discovered that the N172,000 he kept in his bag was missing; that was when he suspected that he must have been drugged and robbed by his mistress.
The matter was reported to the Bariga police station and Funmi was arrested 13 days later in Ikorodu.
However, Funmilola has denied adding any sleeping pills to Faworinshe's medicine that morning or stealing his money. She told the court that Godwin had given her the money to go to Ikorodu and take care of her ailing child. She added that their relationship had been having some challenges, one of which was Faworinshe's non-chalant attitude towards the upkeep of her children. A responsibility he did not want to carry.
In her words: "I had told Baba that one of my children was ill, but he did not want to do anything about it, he would always ask me, do you want to bring the responsibility of another man's children to me?' This is one of the reasons I want to opt out. Godwin is only accusing me because he must have felt bad with the thought of me leaving him".
Information provided by the police, however, showed that the accused had earlier in her statement after she was arrested, admitted committing the crime.
Her lawyer pleaded that the matter be resolved amicably out of court. The case was adjourned, while the accused was granted bail in the sum of N30,000 with two sureties in like sum.

42 private jets land in Lagos airport daily- Punch investigation
No fewer than 42 private jets land at the Murtala Muhammed Airport, Lagos daily, findings by our correspondent have revealed.
A statement obtained by our correspondent from Nigeria's first commercial private jet hangar, Evergreen Apple Nigeria, on Friday indicated that it received 15 private jet fights everyday.
But further findings on Friday from two aviation agencies, Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria and Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority showed that a total of 1,200 private jet flights landed at the Lagos airport every month.
And by implication, it means at least 300 of the flights are recorded every week and 42 every day.
Of the 1,200 private flight jets, it was learnt that 450 arrived at Evergreen Apple hanger, while the remaining 750 jets landed at Execujets hangar and other private hangars at the Lagos airport.
Private aircraft movements have been on the rise in Nigeria lately due to the increase in ownership of luxury planes.
Other airports where there is a boom in private jet flights are Abuja, Kano and Kaduna.
Evergreen, which recently stated that it was monitoring the upward trends in the aviation business, said its daily private jet movements were running to an average of 15 flights.
The firm said its "business aviation movements have increased by over 100 per cent year-on-year, and daily movements are running at an average of 15 daily."
According to the firm, flights are arriving into the FBO predominantly from Europe with London, Ireland, Germany, Spain, France and Austria, all featuring as regular starting points as they bring business executives into Nigeria.
It said, "Flight arrivals from the Middle East are also growing with Dubai, Saudi Arabia and Aman rating highest in terms of originating destinations.
"Within the continent of Africa, the movements mirror comments operators and charter brokers are making in terms of most active destinations. National flights within Nigeria and from further afield including Gambia, Cameroon, Ghana and Equatorial Guinea all reflect the increase in African business aviation activity driven by the continent's continued expansion of energy, mineral, agricultural and telecom sectors."
The statement quoted the Chief Executive Officer of Evergreen, Mr. Segun Demuren, as saying, "Owing to the size of the continent, the mid to heavy jets are proving most popular at the EAN Hangar Jet Centre. Gulfstream 400/450 models, the Bombardier Global Express family and the full range of the Bombardier Challenger types from 601s to 850s are regularly parking up at the hangar.
"The range of the aircraft enables business executives and government officials travelling around Africa and further afield to the Middle East and Europe to travel in the most convenient and efficient way."
It was learnt that charter operators provided the main body of traffic through the airport but increasingly, privately owned aircraft belonging to local entrepreneurs were also contributing to the movement figures.
In addition, the increased movements had led to a greater demand for premium services, Evergreen said.

Biodun Caston Dada:Kim puts a hole in Darey's concert
And Kim Kardashian Puts A Hole In Darey's "Love... Like A Movie" Concert
I was finding it so difficult to do this review based on two facts. One,
that people may take it as a misrepresentation and may decided to castigate
Darey for even thinking of inviting Kim Kardashian to "co-host" his highly
successful theatrical Valentines concert tagged "Love... Like A Movie".
Secondly, for the fear of it going viral online, thereby putting a dent in
Darey's blossoming career.
I sparsely go to Nigerian events lately due to
the simple fact that I hardly enjoyed it because of too many ills that
could have been avoided especially when it comes to been timely and
technical hitches which used to mar the events, but I decided to attend
Darey's Vals concert based on the facts that I owe him one (he voluntarily
hosted my first BlackBerry Fever Party for Free) and based on the hype and
publicity build up that was excellently done before the event which
generated enough interest and also because of the side-attractions of the
circus ringers that were announced will be part of the show.
What took the hype and publicity to a frenzy height was the announcement of Kim
Kardashian, the top American reality show star to "co-host" the concert.
Been a big fan (no apologies, lol), it was a perfect opportunity to see
this beautiful reality show stunner which I know many of her Nigerian fans
were also hoping to use to see the petite celeb.
This was what turned out
to be the biggest mistake the show organisers made. I felt so disappointed
that Kim Kardashian announcement to "co-host" the event didn't become a
reality after-all, she only graced the stage for less than a minute and the
sad (or good) part was that her appearance wasn't even felt because from
the opening of the show which started few minutes after 8pm till like 10pm
Darey mesmerised us, his fans and guests alike with his stage artistry and
sonorous voice, churning out various hits upon hits both from his own songs
and international classic love songs.
Darey also find solace and support in his fellow Nigerian artistes like
2face, Waje, Timi Dakolo, Praize, etc who gave good accounts of themselves
by jamming to live band throughout the show. Kudos also to Circque du
Soleil an extreme theatre company for their spectacular choreography and
displays. The show was so well choreographed. The stage, lighting and sound
was simply out of this world. The circus ringers sure added colours and fun
to the concert with their gymnastics and acrobatic moves. I doubted if I've
seen anything like this in recent times.
For that 2 and half hours, Darey
held us spellbound! Did we miss Kim Kardashian not to have fully been part
of the concert? It's capital NO! What I was expecting from the organisers
was for Kim to have signed autographs for her fans, take pictures with
people on the Red Carpet and be in charge of the stage and not just to have
eaten dinner with the Platinum Ticket holders and taken pictures with few
selected celebrities.
She would have even visited and donated to a charity
home since it's even a season of love and that in itself would have boosted
her image. Even considering the staggering $500k been rumoured she
collected for the show which to me is false and outrageous (that's another
story entirely, so watch out for my piece "Don't Believe The Hype" on
that).
I think it's high time our Nigerian artistes learn from issues like these
and have confidence in themselves to stage a good show. No harm in inviting
foreign act(s) that you know will add values to your event. Darey's concert
is a case study on how a show should be organized. It was a 5 hour of
cheerful bliss. From publicity, organisation, technicalities, timing and
stage craft. With "Love... Like A Movie" concert, Darey scored A and had
taken concerts packaging to the next level. In all, it was an amazing show
that worth every penny spent on its ticket. Lol!
