Court stops screening of Omoni Oboli's latest film,Okafor's Law
By Niyi Tabiti: There was drama on stage at the screening of Omoni Oboli's latest movie, Okafor's law. A court has ordered the actress to stop the showing of the movie, after a prayer brought before it by a writer,Jude Odada was granted.
Idada had dragged Omoni to court,accusing her of
a breach of trust and contract. According to the writer,Omoni refused to pay him the sum of N750,000 for writing the script. He also alleged amongst other things that he wrote the first 50 pages of Mrs Elliot,another film produced by the actress but Omoni said she had a better script.Only for him to see the turn out of the movie was based on the same storyline.
Omoni, who was shocked by the court action broke down on stage.She claimed that the script was written by her 100 per cent.
