Munachi Abii, the current Most Beautiful Girl In Nigeria is expected to bow out after reigning for one year on Friday 27 March 2008.

A new person would take over after a keenly contested beauty peagent at Expo Centre,Ocean View, Lagos.Its an annual show put together by Silverbird Group.

http://www.niyitabiti.blogspot.com/ was at the rehersal of the contestants this afternoon.I saw that most of them were busy trying to learn one or two things to increase their chances.I also saw them doing a choreography with rave of the moment musician,9ice.

The girls did not have much opportunity to get 9ice off the hook.Toni Payne was there but I wouldn't tell if her eyes trafficated or not.

They did Gongo Aso,one of his hit tracks.I later learnt that Modella would be giving them clothes for that particular session on Friday.

In all 30 girls would be competing for the coveted crown of Most Beautiful Girl In Nigeria.They have been in camp at Kuramo Lodge of Eko Hotel & Suites for sometime now.We gathered they are three in a room.These would enable them get used to themselves before amd after the contest.

Top radio presenter,Oge Ogwo has denied the gist around town that she is dating Nigeria's International soccer star,John Mikel Obi.I was suprised to read it in a soft sell magazine that we have been dating for sometime.In fact, i have never even seen him all my life.I was not even around,the day he came to my station for an interview.How they managed to join us together is what baffles me till now", she told http://www.niyitabiti.blogspot.com/

Oge revealed that she is very much involved with someone she loves so much. “I am in love with someone and I think I am contended with him”
Oge hails from Enugu State, Nigeria and she started her broadcasting career with Ray Power FM.She told us that the Nigerian entertainment industry would definitely grow to become one of the best in the world soon. According to her, the opportunities are there and people are making the best use of it. Alot of creativity is being injected into the entertainment industry.That is why people from abroad now come back home to get involved.
Aside her entertainment programme on Brila FM, Oge is very passionate about children.She is involved with an NGO that is looking ways of alleviating the plights of street children. “A lot of these kids are not in the street by their own design. They are the ones feeding themselves. At the end, they get so frustrated and before you know it, they turn to criminals” she said.
She appealed to Nigerians at home and abroad to look for ways of helping children who are living under this condition so that they won’t turn out to hurt the society that fail to carter for them.

Temitope Ojo, a fashion & Style correspondent with Daily Independent Newspapers in Nigeria got married last weekend in Ibadan,Oyo State, to the man of her dream,David Adewale.The engagement was at Atariagbon Village, while the reception took place in one of the halls inside University College Hospital (UCH),Ibadan.Friends from far and near came to celebrate with the latest bride in town and her husband. I had so much fun shooting the beautiful bride and the man in her life that I even forgot to eat!

They have both returned to their base in Lagos.The only thing my camera did not capture was their first night together....!

A source told http://www.niyitabiti.blogspot.com/ that the chic is Pemela, a 19 year old model and socialite leaving in London. She is also known to work with Makosi Musambasi of Big Brother UK. The pair met and began dating in the summer of last year. We gathered that Pamela has confirmed her pregnancy to family and friends. She has been spotted around London and it making it extremely clear that she is well with the baby. Rumours are spreading like wildfire that Pamela is giving Demilola Opeoluwa (mother of Tony’s first and second child) a run for her money ”It looks like Tetuila is not just in love with two women but is having babies from them”, disclosed the source. Not long after his long time girlfriend, Demilola put to bed their second child,the afro hip hop star's London girlfriend, Pamela also gave him a baby boy in the UK .

I AM JUST SICK...!

I am just sick about this whole thing and I need to mention it here again.Someone wrote a comment the other day telling me that why did I tell people to quote or create a link anytime they take materials from here.Its either the person is mischievious or ingnorant of certain things.
Few days back, someone who has been following my work called me from Netherlands.The person informed that how come almost all my materials are also published on nigeriafilms.com? I got there and I was amazed because almost all my daily gist were published there.They even picked all the pictures on the hip hop world awards and they wrote 'photos submitted by Niyi Tabiti' (Please go to the photo gallery of nigeriafilms.com)
To make matters worst,they put their signature on my photos.If you are picking,do you have to pick 90 per cent of what is on the blog?' Secondly,do you have to put your signature on another person's job?Isn't that criminal?
Haba! No permission,no pay, nothing!If you work in the midnight, follow celebrities all over the place, battle computers and go through the trouble of posting these materials on the blog everyday,you will definately pity the operator of this blog.
I am just sick about the whole thing because it look as I have been working for soomeone without knowing it.In Europe and America that we all try to copy, there is always a procedure to how certain things are done.How can I have an online journal and another online journal picking 90 cent of what I post on their own website.I am just sick...!
My friend who wrote that comment,please I am not bragging but I am very consistent in what i do and I try to be ahead.People should respect other peoples work.If I hurt you by writing this piece I am very sorry,there is no other way to press for my intellectual rights.

LOLA SHON SET FOR MAKE UP ON THE RUN WAY TOMMOROW

Salacious Make-up artist, Miss Lola Shonowo popularly known as Lola Shon would be having a talk of the town event tomorrow in Lagos. It would be the second edition of what she tagged ‘Make Up on the Run way’.
The event would take place at 02 Bar inside Murphy’s Plaza in Victoria Island. Expected at the events are other make up artistes, fashionistas and models from far and near.

A graduate of Lagos State University, Lola had done make up for the likes of Former Managing Director of Guinness Nigeria Plc,Mr.Keith Richards and South African born model,Micheal Power.She had taken part in various beauty contests such as Miss Lasu.The first edition of her show took place last year at Goodies Garden,Oregun,Lagos.

CELEBRITY COURT: BLOGGERS GIVES PSQUARE A NO CASE SUBMISSION

Following the breaking news report in www.niyitabiti.blogspot.com on Monday that Psquare, a popular hip hop group in Nigeria, alleging that Hip Hop World award was a total shame to the entertainment sector, bloggers and opinion makers have said the group has no case at all.
When the case was brought for hearing on that same day, the elder brother of the group and their manager, Mr.Jude Okoye disclosed that the award should be seen as a tribal attack and a slap on the entertainment industry. He cited certain authorities as defence.He told celebrity court that Ayo Animashaun and other members of Hip Hop World award only gave awards to people from the south west origin except 2face, Timaya and Rugged man.
However, comments emanating from bloggers show that people are angry with the group for dragging Hip Hop World Award before the celebrity court. They referred to previous editions where Psquare carted home award. They did not raise eyebrow or call it a tribal award at that time. Hip Hop World Award’s counsel was absent in court.However,Comments,text messages and calls so far received by the blog shows that the group shouldn’t have dragged the award organizers before the celebrity court.
There are plans by celebrity court to set up a special panel to look into the demands of Psquare.If they are just then,HHWA would be ordered to present Psquare with a special recognition award. Further hearing has been slated for tomorrow at www.niyitabiti.blogspot.com Court 1
