  Actress Monalisa Chinda seems to be having all the fun that comes with the acting profession. Latest gist about the actress is that she would be honoured by Nigerian movie lovers based in Australia.
 This was confirmed by Egor Efiok of E4 PR in a phone call from Britain.Egor disclosed that the event would be holding very soon and many of Monalisa fans described her one of the biggest names to be discovered in Nollywood.
 Meanwhile, gistmaster gathered
that E4 PR would be coming out with some new packages for Monalisa Chinda,Susan Peters and one time AMAA actress of the year, Chioma Chukwuka Akpotha.

FORMER NDLEA BOSS JAILED

Former Chairman of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, Bello Lafiaji, and his personal assistant, Usman Amali, were this morning sentenced to 16 years imprisonment by a Lagos, Nigeria, High Court for corrupt enrichment while in office.

Lafiaji will spend the next four years behind bars while Amali will spend three years as the sentences are to run concurrently.

The two convicts were arraigned in 2008 on a seven-count charge of conspiracy, using their positions to corruptly enrich themselves and receiving money before performing their lawful duties were convicted on six out of the seven counts.

They were sentenced as follows: fours years on count one, two years each on counts three, four, six and seven.

The prosecutor, Bolaji Ayorinde, (SAN), called 12 witnesses including assistant director of investigation, Samuel Gazama and Director of Prosecution and Legal Services, Femi Oloruntoba.

The defence counsel led by Prof. Taiwo Osipitan, (SAN), called five witnesses.

In his judgement, presiding Justice Olusola Williams said that relying on the evidence of Gazama, it was established that money was recovered from the house of a drug suspect, Ikenna Onochie, and was taken to NDLEA office in Lagos and the money got missing. And it was Gazama who narrated how the money got missing. His evidence was not controverted.

For the singing duo of Peter and Paul Okoye popularly known as Psquare, July 2010 is going to be a time dedicated to their numerous fans in the United States of America. Gistmaster gathered that they have been booked for various shows in America. They have agood understanding with promoters and they are ready to thrill their fans, said a female acquaintance of Psqaure.

According to a a press statement that was sent to Gistmaster by Under Da Rock Entertainment,Psquare would be loading their fans and well wishers with new tunes from their repertoire of songs.They would be performing in New York on Saturday 24 July 2010 at Club Amazura 91-12 144th Place Jamaica,NY 11435.

We also hear that there would be several other playing tours involving Psquare in other parts of America , especially in Maryland ,Washington DC and Florida.

OLUMIDE, DAKORE REKINDLES LOVE, CONFIRM MARRIAGE PLAN

  Star actress,Dakore Egbuson and her boyfriend, Olumide Akande has confirmed that marriage is indeed on the cards. Olumide who confirms this to Gistmaster durning at a function in Eko Hotel,Lagos lamented that many things have been speculated about the relationship but they both remain resolute in their bid to sustain the tempo of their love from the very first time they agreed to be together.
  When pressed on when they would finally sy I do since all eyes are on them in the celebrity circuit, Olumide told Gistmaster that it would be happening soon. He assures that everything would be perfecte soon and we would be invited before December.
 Olumide and Dakore's relationship remains one of te most talked about in the Nigerian social establishment. They have been dating for years now. Burying his head in shame, the Nigerian player, marched off the field of player dejected.
  Nigerian Nigeria online community wasted no time in condemning the fist of anger displayed by Kaita on the field of the play.
He was expelled for giving Greece's defender Vasilis Torosidis a kick.
For most people on facebook, that action earned us our loss against the aggressive Greece team.After his removal, the lapses became so obvious and the Greece team. "All along, it seems as though he was silent killer of most of moves made by the Greek players but suddenly he committed an unpardonable offense and he was led sacked" said a commentator.
