I GOT LAID AGAIN

As I looked through my window, I noticed that Dave was already at my gate. So there was no way I could turn him back. “I gave him once, now he wants more”, I told myself. I went to open the gate. He couldn’t look me straight in the eyes but he smiled and he held right in the waist as we walked into the sitting room (click here to read the first part of this story)
Before I could ask about the person he came to visit in the neighborhood, Dave held me on the chair and that was how we started the romance of our lives. I thought I could resist him, but something in me just proved weak.
I kissed him as much as he kissed me. He held my head one hand and uses the other one to raise my leg. We left the sofa and moved on the rug. My short skirt proved very easily for him to flip and get in as fast as possible. It was like a love scene in a movie, action packed as f***ed me on the rug. He was so much on me.
We did it, yes we did. He is my junior in the office, yes I know but this guy is good! Immediately we finished. I went to shower and he did the same too. Now, this is the reality. I need him in my life. As we enjoyed a meal together, I noticed that we didn’t even lock the door when we did it. Then the bombshell, he revealed to me that he would be resigning from the company because of another offer he got in France.
I am going to miss Dave. He knows how to take a woman to the zenith and now he is going to live in France. For me, its time to search for love, enough lust!

MTN ANNOUNCES AUDITION DATES AND VENUES FOR LAGOS FASHION AND DESIGN WEEK

[caption id="attachment_6346" align="aligncenter" width="319" caption="Omoyemi Akerele"][/caption]Leading telecommunications company in Nigeria, MTN, in partnership with Style House Files and the British Council Nigeria, has announced the dates and venues of the regional auditions and interviews for the 12 young designers to feature at its high profile fashion and design event slated for October, MTN Lagos Fashion and Design Week.
According to the General Manager, Consumer Marketing, MTN Nigeria, Mr. Kola Oyeyemi, the auditions will hold in Port Harcourt, Abuja and Lagos to draw up a shortlist of applicants from which the 12 finalists will be selected for the four-day show.
Giving more details, Oyeyemi said the auditioning team will first berth in Port Harcourt on the 25th and 26th of July at the British Council Office, 127 Olu Obasanjo Road, GRA Phase 2. He said the next audition and interviews will hold in Abuja on the 28th and 29th of July at the British Council Office, Plot 3645, IBB Way, Maitama, Garki, while the last port of call of the team will be Lagos on the 2nd and 3rd of August at the British Council Office, 20 Thompson Avenue, Off Bourdillon, Ikoyi, Lagos. All three auditions will hold between 10am through 5pm each day, he said.
Oyeyemi said a large number of entries have already been received by the organisers from across the country. “Public interest is high. We did envisage that several young local designers would show interest, but we are amazed and very pleased with the level of interest shown so far”, said Mr. Oyeyemi.
The MTN Lagos Fashion and Design Week will feature a combination of fashion and design-focused activities, talent hunt for international modelling contracts and Young Designer of the Year as well as exhibitions of creative works ranging from arts, interior designs, photography, and architecture to technology, among others.
According to Oyeyemi, the decision to take the auditions around the three selected locations rather than limit it to Lagos was to give as many Nigerians as possible equal opportunity to participate and win the ultimate prize.
Mrs. Omoyemi Akerele, Managing Director, Style House File, promoters of the event, said the winner of the Young Designer of the Year Award will be presented with a brand new Hyundai Car worth N4.5million by MTN while the MTN/British Council Creative Entrepreneur of the Year will win N1million cash prize also from MTN, while the British Council will sponsor the winner to the London Fashion and Design Week. The MTN Model of the Year will also get N1million.

Mrs. Akerele said, “The window of opportunity is still open to interested young entrepreneurs and designers to log on to www.mtnonline.com/fashionweek, download and fill out the application and send in their entries before the closing date, 24 July, 2011”.
Both Oyeyemi and Akerele urged all the interested applicants to take out time to read through the terms and conditions of the show clearly stated on the event website and ensure eligibility before they enter for the show.

Celebrities are regularly spotted sporting the same designer outfits.

YOUR VOTE COUNTS @ MALTA GUINNESS STREET DANCE IV

[caption id="attachment_6317" align="alignleft" width="480" caption="Frank, MaySeven and Wale Rubber, all judges at Malta Guinness Street Dance Africa"][/caption]

Yeah! It’s been six weeks of Top of the World street dance moves at the season IV of Malta Guinness Street Dance. If you can recall, a total of eight (8) street dance crews were selected by the judges from the nationwide auditions held in various regions across the country. They were Fly High, Sum’ry Crew (Abuja) Supreme Task, Shadows (Enugu) Genesis Plus, Soulja Guyz (Benin) Hephzibah (Lagos), and Dynasty (Lagos). Each crew partook in series of recreational activities and choreography sessions that aided in the delivery of their dance routines.

The first week had all eight crews displaying what they had in their kitty while the second week featured the first elimination stage of the competition, tagged “blast from the past” which made Dynasty crew the first crew to be evicted. Sum’ry crew lost out in the challenge which required crews to celebrate living “Legends” in the third week. Hephizibah crew and Fly High crew also bowed out in week four and five respectively when the challenges assigned were “Dance into the Future” and “Make or Break (Kitchen Dance)”

The final which was in the sixth week, dubbed the final showdown that featured two rounds of dance was to select the two crews that will go to the Pan African championship. To clear the air around what was to be expected at the final, the judges took turns to air their opinions on what the expectations should be. First to react amongst the judges was renowned African contemporary dance instructor Frank Konwea, said “They’ve built themselves already, it’s time to get the crew that will represent Nigeria at Pan African” followed by UK based singer and dancer May7ven who said “expect to see dynamic performances and astronomical display” while the chief judge Wale Rubber stated that “am expecting the very best, they (last four crews) should bring all their creativity and technicality to the stage. Hopefully we will have the best final ever in the annals of Malta Guinness Street Dance”.

The journey to the Pan African championship began as the four finalists keenly contested for the two slots to the African championship with the first round challenge tagged “Afro-vibe”. “Afro-vibe” challenged the last four crews to infuse African contemporary songs and steps into their dance routines for the round. The first round performances saw Supreme Task evicted as the other crews proved that they’ve got what it takes to move to the next round. The second round was the “freestyle” challenge which allowed competing crews to be more innovative with their dance routines. The last three crews Soulja Guyz, Shadows and Genesis Plus did put up a good show which further demonstrated to the judges and audience that they all had what it takes to be at the Pan African Championship.

The onus was on the trio of Wale Rubber, May7ven and Frank to be convinced of the crew that will better represents Nigeria at the African championship. Announcing the winner of the two spots with an emotional laden mood (name of judge) called out on Genesis Plus and Shadows as the African Championship spot winners while Souja Guyz emerged runners up. However, this where you and I can actually play the role of judges by voting for our favourite crew and that we think so far has fully shown that they are the crew that will best represent Nigeria at the Pan African Championship.

To vote for your favourite crew Genesis Plus or Shadows, simply SMS G (Genesis Plus) or S (Shadows) to 20120 from 2nd of 15th of July SMS cost only N10.00 or visit www.facebook.com/maltaguinness for voting details.

Let’s take a moment to recall the theme for this season “Back with Style, Back with Swagger” and your guess is as good as mine if you have experienced the new style used and the swag exhibited by all because its Malta Guinness Street Dance!
