Heritage Bank gives financial support to Top Five Big Brother Naija Housemates

In its continual commitment to boost the small medium enterprise (SME) sector, Heritage Bank Plc, one of the proud sponsors of Big Brother Naija Season-2 reality TV show, yesterday rewarded the five top finalists with financial investment support to enhance their entrepreneur drives.

Efe, Bisola, TBoss, Debbie Rise and Marvis who were the top five met with the management on Wednesday, when the Managing Director of Heritage Bank Plc, Mr Ifie Sekobo took turns to advice each of the housemates on their aspirations on becoming budding entrepreneurs in creating, preserving and transferring wealth to Nigerians.

The MD, Mr Sekibo, who disclosed the bank’s financial support to each of the five top finalists, said that Heritage Bank was proud to be part of the reality show, as the involvement re-emphasizes the wealth enshrined in Nigeria’s cultural heritage.

He stated that beyond Heritage Bank’s core banking activities, the financial institution has special interest in young talented Nigerians and as well recognises the value to sell Nigerian culture to the world.

Specifically, Sekibo affirmed also that the bank’s involvement was significantly centred on financially and socially emancipating them for the common good of the community.
According to him, the traditional wedding task arranged by Heritage Bank was well delivered to project the nation’s culture and heritage in good perspective.

Nollywood Actor Olumide Bakare is dead

Veteran Nollywood  actor, Olumide Bakare is dead. The veteran actor passed on in the early hours of Saturday according to his personal assistant.
According to  a family member “His situation however gone bad during the procedure and he could not make it. So he died”, a close family source, Abiodun Alarape, Bakare, it was learnt was rushed to UCH on January 24, after suffering cardiac arrest.
His condition was however said to have improved, until he went in for the procedure and failed to make it out alive.
His death which came as a rude shock to his numerous fans globally while most of them still find it difficult to believe.
To those who want to know what killed Yoruba actor Olumide Bakare. He died of heart related disease.
In 2016, the actor granted his first interview since he was admitted to UCH. In his interview with City People Olumide Bakare spoke at the origin of his ailment.
It has started since 2013 but it wasn’t as bad as it is now. We have treated it but you know things like that don’t go easily. About 15 days ago, the sickness resurfaced and I was rushed to the emergency unit of the University College Hospital, Ibadan where I have been admitted” Olumide Bakare told City People.
