WHO BECOMES FACE OF SELERA 2010? FULL DETAILS OF THE ABUJA EVENT HERE

On 2^nd of December at the Thisday Dome, CBD in Abuja, Julius Agwu, Naeto C, YQ, and DJ Neptune will be dishing out a high dose of entertainment vibes at the Third edition of Face of Selara (FOS) make up show/beauty pageant.

The last two edition of the Face of Selara pageant saw to the crowning of Miss Blessing Osim (2009) and Miss Meg Kaka (2008) as queens and had the audience entertained by top artistes like P square, 9ice, 2 Face, Banky W, Paul Play, Djinee and Omawunmi, however, it is going to be a night of entertainment like never as the 2010 edition Face of Selara is set to lift the bar of its last two editions.

Face of Selara is a beauty pageant aimed at finding an intelligent, confident, creative and well spoken young lady to represent Selara Faces Beauty and Style Company; as well as a charity event to raise funds for orphanages. Life will surely never remain the same for the winners as fantastic prizes are to be won.

The overall winner, Face of Selara 2010, will be going home with a car, N250, 000 cash prize, a bill board contract in Lagos and Abuja and 1 year contract with Selara Faces. For the first runner up, it’s a 5days trip to Dubai, accommodation and ticket fully paid for, N200,000 cash prize and six months contract with Selara Faces. The second runner up will be going home with N100,000 cash prize, a weekend stay in Gambia fully paid for and 4 month contract with Selara Faces.

True to the fashion course of the show, the dress code for the night is Arabian and the best dressed participant of the night will be going home with a mouth watering prize. Red carpet on that night is to be handled by (Derenle) Sound City.

Arafa Ukonga , MD of Selara faces while speaking on the pageant said “it is undisputable that the last two editions has been a huge success but this edition will be grander in all ramifications”.

AQ FINALLY SET TO DROP LONG AWAITED ALBUM

The long overdue body of work from controversial Rap artiste, A-Q is scheduled for release on December 4th at a party to unite both the mainstream and underground Nigerian hiphop circuit.

A-Q was in the news earlier in the yet for calling Ruggedman 'whack' in his ead single, Names.

The rapper born Gilbert Ubani was compelled to address the situation, informing he only made an observation when he rapped 'we don't say autotone, we say Jesse Jagz track. We don't say whack, we say Ruggedman's back'.

The single followed with a remix for the track featuring Pherowshuz and Iceberg Slim. Funky house 'Champagne and rum' followed, growing into a viral track that has received several rave reviews both on radio and with the online platforms.

A-Q's official debut album titled 'The Past, Present and Future' is a 17 tracker album featuring Terry Tha Rapman, Iceberg Slim, Xtrim, Retta, Pherowshuz, Lace and parading exceptional line up of producers - Ray X, E Twinz, XYZ, Phatboy and Laylow.

Countdowning to the album release, A-Q announced via his Twitter Page (http://twitter.com/thisisaq) that he would be making download link for tracks and freestyle he describes as mixtape tracks every friday.

I would be counting down the album release with friends on Twitter and Facebook. The #Blackfriday tracks would be released every friday night till the album drops on December 4th", A-Q said.

As preparations mount for this year's French Week in Lagos and the Nigerian Next Supermodel (NNSM), the organizers made a pledge that it be one of the most exciting events to come out of Africa.

Present at the  press conference on Friday 12 November 2010 at Eko Hotel, Lagos were diplomatic officials, members of the French and Nigerian chamber of commerce, Aju Elumelu, an international singer based in the United States,Mrs. Joan Okorodudu the founder/ CEO of Nigerian Next Supermodel and style writers from various media houses. The French week is billed to kick off on 19 November 2010 with various activities lined up to make it it memorable. This year's Nigerian Next supermodel would be held on the grand finale (26 November 2010)
