ANITA QUANSAH AUTUM /WINTER COLLECTION 2011

The long awaited collection by Anita Quansah London for A/W 2011 is finally here. The latest AQL collection is actually based on two subjects relating to the film "Avatar" and also borders around works by Valentim Quaresma- an artist and designer, known for his use of industrial materials in his work.

According to the creative designer and current award winner of Fashion Finest's Accessory designer of the year - Anita Horsfall..." I wanted to create a collection that has an earthy feel to it, but looks industrial at the same time, hence the use of semi precious stones and beads fused with hardware such as bolts, safety pins and washers, things used every day by human but used in an unconventional way to create show stopping statement pieces"......

Just like the film Avatar, the collection is in close relationship and interaction between culture and civilization. Hence highlighting the focus of the collection which is primarily on the recycled components making the pieces edgier yet feminine at the same time, fusing them with bright hues.

The AW 2011 collection has been created with love and will be available to buy soon on the new AQL e-store and available stockist.

To arrange to preview the collection you can contact Morsi PR

Also you can checkout their new website on www.anitaquansahlondon.com

JENNIFER LOPEZ SAYS SHE TRIED TO MAKE HER MARRIAGE WORK

Top singer and actress Jennifer Lopez has finally spoken on how she tried to save her marriage to Marc Anthony from breaking until they finally had to go their seperate ways.
In her first interview after the break up, the mother of twin – Max and Emme the product of the marriage to singer Marc Anthony granted Vanity Fair magazine, she explained how she worked so hard to preserve the marriage. In her words, "That (marriage) was my biggest dream, and I really worked hard at it. We both did. Sometimes it doesn't work – and that's sad. But I remain an eternal optimist about love. I believe in love".
She further adds "It's not that I didn't love myself before. Sometimes we don't realise that we are compromising ourselves. To understand that a person is not good for you, or that that person is not treating you in the right way, or that he is not doing the right thing for himself – if I stay, then I am not doing the right thing for me. I love myself enough to walk away from that now."
Jennifer also admits that her career may have been the weak point of the marriage but says he has not giving up on finding a lasting love.
Jennifer Lopez had been with Ben Affleck, then P Diddy before finally settling down with Marc Anthony who we thought was her finally bus stop. They were married for seven years!

WE ARE NOT FIGHTING ADEBOYE- REDEEMED CHRISTIAN OF CHURCH OF GOD FOUNDER's CHILDREN DENIES RIFT WITH ADEBOYE

The children of the late founder of Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pa Josiah Akindayomi have condemned the recent attack on the personality of the General Overseer of the Church, Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye by a family member.
The family member, according to what gistmaster gathered, is one Mr. Abiodun Olukojo, a grandson of the late founder. Olukojo had alleged that the family was dissatisfied with Adeboye's style of leadership, insisting that the man whom many love to call Daddy G.O did not allow the family of the late founder access to adequate funds and information on the church administration.
Pastor Titi Adewale, the fourth child of Pa Akindayomi however issued a statement yesterday where she said that Abiodun Olukojo has no power to issue a statement on behalf of the family. Adewale, who is a pastor in RCCG, New York disclosed that the family is satisfied with Adeboye's leadership of the church.
The children of the founder of Redeemed Christian Church of God are -
Pastor (Mrs) Olufunmilayo   Olukowajo, Pastor Mrs

Olubunmi Deborah Akindele, Pastor John Kolade Akindayomi, Pastor Titi Adewale  and Pastor  Ifeoluwa Akindayomi.
Below is the statement issued by Pa Akindayomi's daughter, Pastor Titi Adewale

Firstly, we would like to publicly state that Abiodun Olukowajo is not appointed
to represent or speak on behalf of the family. Hence, all the statements against
Daddy G.O and RCCG are entirely null and void

Here is the true opinion of the Akindayomi family:

1.   We are very satisfied with the running of RCCG since the death of Late Rev.
Josiah Olufemi Akindayomi 30 years ago.

2.   Regarding payments, the Akindayomi Family has received substantial
financial support from RCCG in the last 30years – with children and grand
children and great grand children as beneficiaries

3.   RCCG has grown from 40 parishes to an applaudable 20,000+ parishes
across the globe with the primary interest to win souls as articulated in the
mission of the church

4.   The legacy of the Late Rev. Josiah Olufemi Akindayomi …(It is the
responsibility of the children to reflect the legacies of the father in their
conducts.) Galatians 6:4-says “Let every man prove his own work, and then
shall he have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another”. Moreover, Late Rev.
Josiah Olufemi Akindayomi mentioned during his lifetime didn’t want any
ceremonies heralding him because his main goal was to always put Jesus at
the fore-front. Hence, not even after his demise.

5.   Regarding transparency, we believe that the running of the church is left to
the discretion of whoever God has appointed as the General Overseer of His
Church. We trust Daddy G.O and we know that whatever decision he makes is
as led by God. Hence, we do not need to have an idea of RCCG accounts or
any decision making processes regarding any building work, major or even
minor project. The Akindayomi family doesn’t feel any disrespect because the
church doesn’t report to us.

6.   The vision of late Rev. Josiah Olufemi Akindayomi has been adequately
preserved and even taken further by Daddy G.O.whatever improvements that
have been made by Daddy G.O have been for the furtherance of the gospel of
Jesus Christ and we are satisfied with that. Hence, we do not need a
permanent representative of the family in the governing council to act as a
police or signatory to any document.

7.   There is absolutely no need for a family picture of the surviving members of
late Rev. Josiah Olufemi Akindayomi to be included in any publication of
RCCG. This is God’s church, not a business venture.

8.   The Akindayomi family does not require any disclosure to be made in
regards to purchases of buildings, transportations and salaries of decision
makers. We also do not demand that this information be made public to the
worldwide membership annually. The Akindayomi family is not requesting a full
disclosure of the private assets of the decision makers at the RCCG. It is none
of our business.

9.   Daddy G.O is the General Overseer of the RCCG and it is entirely
appropriate and responsible for his name to be clearly and easily located on
any RCCG material/resource.  This is an attribute of a good leader and it is
entirely his decision wherever he would like his name located.

10.  The Akindayomi’s family is satisfied with the spiritual direction of RCCG
under Daddy G.O’s leadership. We trust his beliefs and we can bank on his
integrity as a man that seeks to please God always. We believe in the
advancements, so we do not demand that RCCG reverts back to its original
position. “The Church is marching on”...We continually pray that God’s grace
and anointing be increased upon his life so he can continue the good work in
advancing the kingdom of God.

11.   Contrary to Abiodun Olukowajo’s opinion, the Akindayomi’s family knows
that God led late Rev. Josiah Olufemi Akindayomi to appoint Pastor Adeboye
after him to be the General Overseer of RCCG for life. Thus, he has the divine
right as directed by God to choose his successor after him too. We do not
believe, and as a matter of fact, it is not in the original word God gave Papa to
elect the General Overseer by ballot or election. We trust, believe and in
submission to the authority God has set over us and not democracy.

I am okay the way I am, at least no more pains all over my body after three rounds of sex every night.''

EVENT THIS FRIDAY:TOP CELEBS TO STORM SILVERBIRD GALLERIA FOR ‘MIRROR BOY’ PREMIERE

Beyond the premiere of 'Mirror Boy', the movie profiled internationally as the future of Nollywood, Silverbird Galleria will on Friday, August 5, 2011 become another stars arcade as the line up of stars and celebrities expected at the event is almost endless.
With increasing buzz and expectation as count down begins to the 'Mirror Boy' premiere, the producer of the movie Obi Emelonye and publicist Prestige Platform has stepped out to say the success of the movie will surpass all its earlier successes in UK and Ghana.
Their boast is obviously not baseless as 'Mirror Boy' though yet to hit the cinemas, was nominated for 12 ZAFFA awards in the following categories; best film, best film editing, best story, best sound editing, best child performance male, best screenplay, best cinematography, best producer, best director, best supporting actress (Gam Fatima Jabi), best lead actress (Genevieve Nnaji) and best actor (Osita Iheme).
'Mirror Boy' was the first African movie ever to be premiered at the Empire Leicester Square in London, UK; it survived at the British cinemas for weeks, coming up among the top five in the first week and top twelve in the second week. It had a mind-blowing effect on the Ghanaian cinemas thereby making it the highest selling Nollywood movie of all time in Ghana. At the 2011 AMAA award, 'Mirror Boy' won the Best Young Actor Award and was nominated for the Best Film and Best Supp Actor. 'Mirror Boy' was nominated for Best Film and Best pan African Actor at the Nigerian Entertainment Awards 2011 and for her role in 'Mirror Boy', Genevieve Nnaji won the award for The Best Breakthrough Performance at the Monaco Films Awards.
Written, produced & directed by Obi Emelonye, an award winning UK based Nigerian film maker, 'Mirror Boy' is an enthralling journey as seen through the eyes of a London- born 12 year old African boy, Tijani. After a London street fight on 13th of June, in which a local boy is hurt, Tijan's mother decides to take him back their roots, to Gambia. On their arrival in Banjul, Tijan encounters a strange apparition, a boy smiling at him in a mirror and vanishing. Seeing the same boy in a crowded street market the next day sets in motion a chain of events, with Tijan finding himself lost. While Tijan's panic-stricken mother struggles to find her son, Tijan is left alone in the company of the enigmatic Mirror Boy, seemingly only visible to him. A cathartic climax helps TIJANI to unravel the mystery of the MIRROR BOY. It also provides him with a rather mystical explanation for the way his life has cascaded from the 13th of June towards this inter-twined fate with a father he has never met.
