Nas, American top rapper stormed Nigerian this evening. He arrive the Murtala Muhammed Internationa Airport around 7 pm Nigerian time. He came in preparation for Friday's Soundcity Music Video Awards. The star had a slight delay at the airport due to logistics problem. http://www.niyitabiti.blogspot.com/ was at the airport and took some shots of the star but Nas couldnt make any comment on his arrival due to the delay.
I later found out that it has to do with the Hummer Jeeps that were supposed to come and convey him to his hotel room. When the two hummers finally surfaced, the car rental comany said they had no enough fuel. Sheila Okonji, the Nigerian born international artiste booking agent advised Nas against taking the risk of entering an hummer whose fuel is uncertain. If the jeep stops on the Third Mainland bridge...my people it won't be palatable. I took pictures of Nas but will post soonest.I couldn't load now!

To be on the safe side, Nas left in a Pathfinder jeep with other members of his entourage.Tic Tac from Ghana also arrived this evening.

ReplyDeletelol. What is the big deal with hummer jeep that you can by for less that 50K, that they had to delay him. I would see if it's a Limo.
ReplyDeleteI don't know the fascination with those things, they are so "not in" anymore in the states. It's like Naija just discovered it. Lets move up to Maybach's or something people.

ReplyDeleteIts about to be crazyyy!
ReplyDeleteGood job Soundcity! Good job Niyi!
well, nas finally came, saw and maybe conquered.it was nice to know him better-nasir oludara jone!u needed 2 have seen how the hall erupted at his delivery and when charly boy challenged him to pidgin english, he almost got it.not only psquare rejoiced meloramatically at the smva.kween nearly collapsed when she got the best female video and ty bello dropped any unilag chic finese and spoke more yoruba than 'phone' as she was called back to back as best r/b and viewers' choice.land is really green here finally!smva is better than hip hop awards in many respect.leave psquare alone.asa isn't an hip hop artist, all those awards especially album of the year i don't believe should go to her.i love her kind of music more than even hip hop but for god sake, even in 2 years, many naija people will never pick it as a national anthem.you should have seen how how naija artistes nearly blinded us with bling bling.dbanj and don jazzy etc made our nights.niyi u miss o!hug your warri clients for us sha!
ReplyDeleteGod go punish the company wey release that hummer jeep without fuel and God go surely punish Sound City for not checking if there was enough Fuel to carry Nas all the way... I mean this is a big disgrace on us, Nas is agreed to be a Nigeria and he hasnt stepped Nigeria, And you guys think the best way to commend him for coming is to fuck up with ordinary Fuel. Man it's shame on you all.... Streets
