The Malta Guinness Street Dance contest has kicked off.The regional finals took the organiers to different part of the country.
The one for Jos was shown last week and it was fun. Here,www.niyitabiti.blogspot.com captured Soul Quest, the winner of the Abuja regional finals.The event took place inside NTA Abuja.
the Judges, made up of Guinness world record holder for the longest dance ever, Kaffayat Shafau, popularly known as Kaffy, Wale ‘Rubber’ and Frank.Deji Falope, a former Presenter with Soundcity anchored the event.
The ‘Malta Guinness Street Dance Africa’ is an exciting competition which is being introduced by the market leading non-alcoholic brand to further bond with its consumers, and also to give opportunity to Nigerian youth to showcase Nigeria ’s hottest dance talents.
Speaking on the initiative, during the press conference to announce the launch of the competition, Malta Guinness’ Marketing Manager, Adenike Adebola said, ‘This activation will not only search for the best, vibrant and skilled dancers from across the country but will also give them a once in a life time opportunity to carry the Nigerian flag and indeed proudly represent Africa on the world’s stage in the United Kingdom. The pay – off line of this competition is “Dance to the top of the world” and we are able to say this confidently because it will indeed be a platform that will deliver a transformation from the streets to the world stage for the winning team’, and winning will open a new vista of national, continental and global opportunities, which will continue to boost the talents of our youth, while also enhancing the country’s tourism potentials, which will no doubt improve on our economic fortunes.

ReplyDeleteCongrats, to the winners. Our youths are the leaders of tomorrow. Through dance they can express themselves giving them a chance to listen to themselves as they reharse, choreograph and dance. Which is a preparedness for them in leading/future leadership.
