Owelle Rochas Okorocha has been declared winner of the just concluded re-run election of the governorship seat in Imo State, Nigeria.Rochas won the election , which was conducted on Friday 6 May 2011 ahead of the incumbent governor of the state, Mr. Ikedi Ohakim who contested on the platform of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). Okorocha contested on the platform of All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA)

According to the election result monitored by gistmaster.com today 7 May 2011,Rochas won the election by getting 336,859 votes, while Ohakim got 290,496 votes. Senator Ifeayin Ararume of Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) scored 107,068 votes.
