FUNNY CROOKS TAKE OVER EATERY

I don't know about New York..London or Amsterdam but when it comes to Lagos,I know it very, very well! These days i noticed that many people have turned Eatries to their 'office'.That is where most fraudulent people now commit their atrocities.I call them funny crooks because of cock and bull stories they tell people just to get money.

Thye are usually dressed with some female accomplises.You will them with files or envelopes...sometimes discussing in group.They rate you by what you buy.Once you buy peppered chicken and fried rice, they know that you are loaded.If what you order is just a sausage and a bottle of Coke...they will just look the other way.

The number of celebrities reading the blog has also risen astronomically.I go through some comments and I see the 'hand writing' of those who 'know'.What you guys don't know is that you positive impacts in the lives of many people.One actress was telling me the other day that she had to change certain things because of comments.

Let me make a confession .I realised many Nigerians abroad are already 'flying' while many of us back home are still walking.Don't blame us, most politicians prefer to use Government money for personal benefits.Well, things are fast changing because of the probe panels, Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) and other relevant agencies dealing with the issue right now.'Politricktians'deprive helpless Nigerians citizens their basic rights all for vain glory.

Most of the time, they want to impress chics that they have all the money in this world, meanwhile so many people are losing their lives because of lack of basic health care.

Soon,soon and very soon (I predict) politics will no more be lucrative in Nigeria.When people see that they can no more our money and send it abroad,only the genuine ones will come out and ask for vote.Most of them can not swore their oath using African tradition religion.That is what they call 'steal and die' no remedy.Do you support it?

SUMBO AJABA GIVES TUFACE ANOTHER BABY

Tuface Idibia, One of Nigeria's most 'productive' music stars is said to have become a father again.This time, the baby is from Sumbo Ajaba.The babe is also the mother of Nino, 2face's first son. According to a report written by Ayeni Adekunle in This Day of Sunday 4 May 2006, the baby was delivered in Lagos last Tuesday at a private hospital.We gathered that congratulatory messages have have been flowing from right,left and centre for 2 baba!

Meanwhile, Pero Adeniyi was 'slammed' last week in City People magazine.The story alleged that Pero promoted the twins story and later changed gear.Some accused her of lying.

For instance, she would call and says she was in Barbados, later she would call another person and say she was in America yet some people said they saw her in Festac that same day.

Annie Macaulay, on the hand is still in a bad state, having lost her precious pregnany when she was attacked by some armed hoodlums in Lagos.We pray that another one arrives her tummy soonest...

"I was Born July 12, 1975 Rita Uchenna Nkem Dominic Waturuocha, known to her adoring fans as Rita Dominic, always knew she’d be in the limelight. As a child i was a slave to music, entering and winning in several dance competitions and expressing my self vocally through means of traditional music. As am matured, I developed a deeper sense of appreciation for the arts and to fulfill my curiosity began studying at the University of Port-Harcourt.
I finally discovered an art with a hybrid of all my talents in acting and began my promising career in television programs such as Children’s Variety and Junior Opinion. As time passed and i repertoire grew, i began receiving various offers and commanding attention from well known Nigerian directors.
Debuting in my first movie “A time to Kill” in 1998, i exceeded the expectations of my co-workers and fans began to take notice of this alluring actress. Since then i become a household name in Nigeria and is one of the most well sought actresses in the Nigerian Industry to date. My favorite thing about Rita is how i commands every role she plays.
Sometimes one is able to detect insincerity in a movie, in actors and actresses. Every time Rita appears on the screen, she completely captivates my attention and makes me believe that she truly experienced what her character is currently portraying.
Another aspect about Rita that is so refreshing is her ability to be diverse, many actresses sometimes get stereotyped in a specific role, so much so that they are unable to accurately depict a totally different role in other movies; Rita is not like this, i have played everything from the innocent victim, to the seductress, to the evil wife and so on, and in each role she is able to draw the audience in so much that they in turn truly believe that she is whatever she is portraying, so much so that the audience can not imagine her playing any other role"
If you have never watched a movie starring Ms. Dominic, I would suggest ‘Paint my Love’ and ‘Controversy’ for starters. Although with having starred and featured in over fifty movies, there are many choices to pick from.

Movers and shakers of Nigeria's business and social circuit converged yesterday 1 May 2008 in Lagos for the talk of the town wedding between suave businessman and top shot of Virgin Atlantic in Nigeria,Yemi Osindero and the queen of his heart,Miss Boroji Fadayomi.

The wedding took place at the Cathedral Church of Christ,Marina while the grand reception was at Airforce Officers Mess ,Kofo Abayomi Street,Victoria Island.

Expectedly, members of the international diplomatic corps and business associates came to celebrate with Osindero, a very close associate of Sir Richard Branson.The mother of the bride,Mrs.Eniola Fadayomi, is also a known person in the business community.She is a former Charman of Afribank Plc,a former Commisiioner for Justice in Lagos State.Mrs Fadayomi is the chairman of Fianancial Standard Newspaper and also, a daughter to late Bode Thomas,politician and associate of Chief Obafemi Awolowo durning the days of Egbe Omo Oduduwa days.

The traditional wedding took place last weekend at Multi-purpose Hall, University of Lagos, where Osindero happens to be a distingushed alumnus ( That day, www.niyitabiti.blogspot.com was on his way to Abuja for AMAA, so I missed it)

The Virgin top proved that he is indeed romantic when he brought D'banj 'the kokomaster' to do what he knows how to do best to the delight of his bride at the wedding reception in Victoria Island.D'banj happens to be her favourite singer but she was not expecting to see him talkless of performing that day.Wande Coal was the first to come to perform, suddenly D'banj appeared and he sang his hit tracks including 'I love da booty'.He even sang one of from his yet to be released album.Hey!Don't blame D'banj for being over excited that day, he is one of those that has been endorsed by Virgin with several millions of Nigeria. (He also endorsed them by telling people that Virgin Airline is the 'Koko' flight

Eminent Nigerians such as Erelu Abiola Dosunmu,Chief (Mrs) Mariam Adebisi Abiola,Mrs.Stella Okoli of Emzor Phamaceutical,Mrs.Teju Phillips and others were at the ceremony.

Lret me hint you that the bridal train was aslo a very 'tight' one.Taiwo Osindero was the Best Man while Saratu Dallas was the Best Lady.

Boroji had Modele Fadayomi as Lady in wedding.The bridemaids included Adeola Adeoba,Oladunni Irele and Yewande Ososanya.Friends of the couple suc as Temilola Onafowokan,Nneka Emeyonu,Sabi Ayoku,Olumide Dallas,Dapo Adedoyin,Seyi Onabowale and others also gave a helping hand.

Femi Akande of Killimanjaro Entertainment, made the groom men's list.Others are Seyi Folawiyo,Bola Ashiru,Ibrahim Buba,Abi Kuku,Tunde Macaulay and Deoye Adefulu.

Funke Bucknor-Obruthe of Zaphirre event was the event manager while Tunde Adewale,the popular comedian who goes by the stage name TEE A entertained the guest.

NOLLYWOOD ACTRESS,BENITA NZERIBE TELLS GISTMASTER "MARRIAGE IS NOT A DO OR DIE THING"

Nollywood actress, Benita Nzeribe told www.niyitabiti.blogspot.com yesterday that she would rather wait for her time than jump into marriage just because her mates are getting married. According to Ihiala, Anambra State born actress, “marriage is not a do- or -die thing so people should stop bothering me about when I would get married or not. Besides, I am still a young lady”
Asked whether or not she has a serious relationship at the moment, she laughed and later told me “Oh! I am keeping that to my self! In fact, no comment”
Benita told www.niyitabiti.blogspot.com that she came to Lagos yesterday (1 May 2008) from a movie location in Port Harcourt, River State. She has also done other yet to be released movies. She said her numerous fans from far and near should expect something new and extraordinary from her very soon.
Unlike most of her mates in Nollywood who would want to be actress, director and producer, all at the same time, Benita says she is not thinking of embarking on her own personal movie not even in the nearest future. Stating that she would rather be a very good actress than mess herself up by turning into an ‘emergency’ producer. “All of us cannot be actresses and producers at the same time” she said
When asked about her reaction when she hears or reads negative things about her, she said “I see ‘positivity’ in every ‘negativity’. I don’t get bothered because in every area of my life, I see things from the positive angle”.
On Nollywood, she told www.niyitabiti.blogspot.com that things are indeed getting better for the industry. “The only thing the industry needs is a push here and there and before we know it,we would get there. Hollywood was not made in a day”
A graduate of English from the Abia State University,Awka, Benita has spent about ten years in Nollywood.She has acted in movies such as Notorious Virgin, Games Men Play, Cross My Heart, Buried Emotions and several others.
