Keith Richards MD Promisidor Contract staff working with Promasidor in Nigeria yesterday protested what they described as delay in payment of their salaries.   As a result of the protest, the management of Promasidor invited policemen to forestall a break down of law and order, which might lead to damages of the company properties.    Gistmaster gathered that two companies hire contract staff who work mostly in the production department for promasidor. One is known as Global Manpower while the other is called Sustainability.   Those employed by Global Manpower have been paid their May salaries on the 23 May but those employed through Sustainability are yet to be paid. Sources hinted that the recent development is giving room to suspicions about politics in Promasidor, especially between the management of Sustainability and Global Manpower in a bid to out do one another in the business of staff sourcing.Sustainability is allegedly owned by

I originally thought it was the latest Nollywood title a la facebook babes or possibly the public's response to news of another government official stealing from the nation's coffers, so when I clicked on the Hashtag #Ifihad30million during 'faf' time I was pretty much surprised at the responses I was reading. I mean people buying Palm oil factories, proposing to the girl of their dreams and then the funniest of them all- sacking their landlords? To think that people had time for this was besides the point as it is twitter after all and every whim on there is sufficiently entertained. But then it got me thinking too. Even with inflation, sky-high prices and billions having replaced millions as the SI unit by which embezzling is measured, the general conception is 30 million is still enough to transform one's life. Don't get me wrong, 30 million is still a large amount even to me and I really could do with that sort of money right now, not because I n

Is it the latest fashion or the new national flag? These were some of the questions on the lips of curious Lagosians yesterday, who woke up to the sight of optical Smartphone readable codes better known as barcodes in different areas of the metropolis. The imposing signs appeared everywhere, from shopping malls to school buildings, from billboards to T-shirts, everyone appeared to be rocking a barcode! The barcodes had a mysteriously simple message written below; ‘Scan me for a new attitude’. According to eyewitnesses who scanned the barcode, they were confronted with yet another mysterious message in neon green. It read, ‘DON’T BLEND IN: BE UNIQUE, FIND OUT HOW ON 05: 04: 12’. Feelers reaching us say that this mysterious new message is coming from telecoms giant Etisalat who are planning to unveil yet another innovative package for Nigerians on April 5. The company remains mum about the issue, but there is clearly a lot of buzz at their numerous offices and headquarters situated

Nigerians! I just saw the photo of D'banj and his Koko mobile phone. Thanks to Biodun Caston- Dada, the man behind Acada magazine. To me, this is a good one for a great musician like D'banj and the  Mo'Hit crew .    Don't ask me when Tuface is coming out with his own product. Trust Tu baba, the father of many, he would rather prefer baby hampers or baby food not mobile phone like Dbanj. You will see something like Tuface Baby Food! Naija sha! Instead of congratulating Dbanj the kokomaster on the 'birth' of the kokomobile, they said the phone is a low quality phone produced in China. In case you want to buy, it is just N9000 (Naira) . Personally, I am waiting for Koko Blackberry! - By Niyi Tabiti

High expectation and anticipation, the deer feel for water after savouring a delicious meal, to quench its thirst, was exactly the type one could use to describe the mood that pervaded at the final of the Malta Guinness Street Dance Africa Championship.   Prior to the finals, ‘WATCH IT’, ‘MARKSMEN’, ‘SONS OF LIBERTY’ and ‘SOULJA GUYS’ got eliminated while ‘X-FELLAZ’, ‘FLAMES INSPIRED’, ‘LEGACY’, and ‘EYES6ONE’ made it to the final.   A distinctive feature of this year’s MGSDA was that all eight crews drawn from the four regions were put in a booth camp where they were groomed by professional dance trainers as well as given different tasks and challenges to perform as the competition progressed. The National Final was formatted in such a way that two rounds were organized for all four dance crews. The first round saw dance crews performing with music entertainers, while the second round saw the dance crews performing their regular routines. The scores from both rounds were added up
