Adenuga's first cousin, Oba Sikiru Adetona is the Awujale of Ijebuland (Awujale is the title of the paramount traditional leader of the Ijebu people in south west Nigeria). Even when he attends event, you dont see him moving around and he rarely make public speeches. One of the few moments when he made a speech was at the launching of the Olusegun Obasanjo Library project, where he donated over 200 million Naira.

An old student of Ibadan Grammar school, Adenuga studied at North Western University in Oklahoma and Pace University in New York, USA.

Alhaji Aliko Dangote moved up the ladder from his 334 number on the list world richest billionaires list to become the number 51. Mike Adenuga was listed as number 556 in the forbes list of world richest billionaires. Dangote is worth $13.8 billion from $2.1 billion last year.
