ABIMBOLA JUNAID (GUEST WRITER):YOU HAVE COME THIS FAR;TRUE HERO...TRUE FIGHTER!

You know, it is very easy for people to judge you by where you are or what you are going through. But tell them not to quickly judge you,if only they know how far you've come, how many a tough battle you have survived. And how you are keeping alive by God's grace, hanging on to hope, not giving up on yourself. If only they knew, the bitter tears you have shed, in the daytime, afternoon and nightime;the sleepless nights.
The lamentations of your heart;questioning your very existence. Asking the question,"why you".Nobody but you know of the several attempts you have made at reaching your goals, how endlessly you have searched;high and low,for a lifting up,for a hand to reach out to you,for someone to care, for someone to say "it will be alright" for a breakthrough.Nobody knows of the things you have had to sacrifice, things you have lost, things that have been forcefully taken from you, what advantage was taken of your vulnerability.

The trauma,of it all, that you have live with and working your self slowly through to forget. That your reaching out again, trying yet again, dreaming again, daring to laugh again, are all signs of your recovery, from it all,You are daring to keep keeping on,at all cost. And someone else, talks down at you, look down at you, think you are irresponsible and not making the most of it in life? You know the truth, and that is all that matters.
They judge you by their own standard of success, which always include; the degrees, the lovely house, posh ride, bank account, beauty, class, eloquence. But no one has a clue that your being alive is a success on its own. That you are a true fighter, that you are healing, recuperating from the many falls and blows you have encountered.
My dear,if no one celebrates, your past with you,to appreciate your presence, do your self that honour, hold your head high, your shoulders straight and say to the world,"I AM PROUD OF ME, I AM A SURVIVOR, I AM A FIGHTER ,I HAVE COME FAR AND I WILL MAKE IT AND I LOVE ME AND ALWAYS WILL,I HAVE COME FAR"I join in celebrating you with you, I give a toast to you, and I believe in you.Well done, true fighter.Go at your pace, take all the time you need,do not be weary, but remain steadfast.

http://www.niyitabiti.blogspot.com/ can authoritaively tell you that the ceremony took place at the Surulere Registry, Lagos and it was devoid of the kind of funfair that could have been accorded them because of their celebrity status.Few family members and friends were in attendace. The musician's manager, Oladehinde Fajana and his publicist,Mr.Ayeni Adekunle were some of the few people in attendance.
9ice, the Gongo Aso exponent and friends arrived the Surulere registry in his two cars ( A VW Touareg and Honda) . He was looking graciously endowned in his black suit and inner waist coat.Toni Payne, the bride of the day did not disappoint at all. She was also looking charming in her white wedding gown.
The registrar, Mrs.Tola Awoliyi joined the two love birds as husband and wife at exactly 9.30 a.m today 17 July 2008.
An authoritaive source close to the couple hinted that Toni Payne arrived from her United States of America base on Monday. She had been away to put one or two things together concerning her clothing and cosmetics line.
The traditional engagement follows the registry and it also took place in Surulere.
Those in the know believe that 9ice couldnt have shut the door of his heart to the lady who turned his life around. The babe was like a pillar to his music career because she contributed alot to the present level of the 'packaging' 9ice has at present.
Their wedding photos would be brought to your view shortly.

ABIMBOLA JUNAID (GUEST WRITER): CRITICISM AND FEEDBACK

Life is a school of lessons and the willingness to be open to learning means you are living. And learning comes from various avenues, not only in the classroom,it could be informal too. I think it is an advantage to one to be receptive to learning, whatever age you are and whatever your achievements are. As a professional, you need feedback.
Feedback is a response to something that you have done and a tool of feedback is criticism.Criticism by many has been perceived as having a negative connotation. But I beg to differ. Critisism, is a basis for analysis and when there is an analysis, is the diverse look of a piece of work according to its strengths and weaknesses.
Now to the owner of the work being criticised, you may develop two attitudes towards it,irritation;feeling its your person being attacked or receive it as feedback and truly look and acknowledge what is true and needs improving or,seeing it from the critics point of view. It doesn't mean you are right, it doesn't mean the critic is right either.
Neither does it mean you are both wrong, its just difference in opinion. That is why,I am taking it as a learning curve and saying thank you for all those who have aired their views in support of or strongly against my views as written on my blog tittled 30 something ,single, living abroad and marriage. All I can say is that it was interesting to read various other views on the matter. There isn't just an answer to the topic, as it has been so proven.
Thank you.
