Governor Rotimi Amaechi of Rivers State,Nigeria is blessed with a good sense of humour. He was one of the VIPs at the charity concert organized last weekend in Lagos by Mrs.Onari Duke, former First Lady of Cross Rivers State. When it was his turn to talk, the man set the entire audience rolling with laughter.Amaechi said he was afraid to eat when he came to the hall because his friend, Lt. General Owoeye Azazi (retd) had frightened him that one of meal cost one million Naira. He also extolled the virtues of Mrs. Onari Duke for supporting the cause of the Nigerian child.
The Rivers State governor, however, advised Onari Duke and members of her Non governmental organisation (Child Survival and Development Organisation of Nigeria) to educate the women in rural areas on the need to use hospitals. “We have many Health Centres in my state but the women still prefer to patronize native medicine. This is because they are not educated on the need to use the hospitals.Building an hospital alone would not be the answer but also educate the people on the need to use the facilities” He said.

On the side, the governor disclosed that Onari is a beauty to behold (inside and outside). “This woman is very beautiful. Look at the way she looks despite having grown up kids. Yes, I know that the husband would be saying that he is handsome too but did he carry three kids for 9 months” Amaechi said
