AMERICAN STAR,LLOYD ARRIVES IN LAGOS TODAY

Lloyd, a popular American musician, arrived the city of Lagos,Nigeria, this morning (Friday 3 April 2009). The Atlanta Georgia based entertainer was received by Bobby Taylor of Bobby Taylor Consulting and journalists at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport,Ikeja.He came with some of his collegues.
The artiste is billed to perform this night at Isomnia, a club managed by Akeem Shodehinde in Ikoyi and said to be owned by United Kingdom based soccer star, Joseph Yobo.
www.niyitabiti.blogspot.com gathered that the artiste would also be performing at the same club tomorrow. In a chat at the airport, he said Nigerians are in for a great time.

He is still on top of the game as top starsm corporate leaders and top government functionaries dont joke with his works.We are suprised at all because he is cool and creative.
Those who visited his stand at Lydos venue of Funke Bucknor-Obruthe's wedding workshop would attest to what we are saying.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO DEACONESS YINKA

Deaconess Yinka Adeniyi-Raji celebrated her birthday with pupils in her class yesterday (1 April 2009) in Kuwait.Here is wishing her abundance of God's blessing. Some of the pupils who shared birthday date with her, were also glad to share in the cutting of the cake, which has her picture on it.
She had so much fun and some of the kids who paid glowing tributes to their teacher made tears 'stroll' down from her eyes.
She used to be in Nigeria's advertising sector but now she is dedicated to the work of God and mentoring people.

TONYA MERRITT MOVES TO NIGERIA

Different stroke for different folks. While many Nigerians are planning to relocate abroad, foreigners are also planning to relocate here!

I recently had the opportunity to contact Dr.Tonya Merritt in her US residence. To confirm the rumor that she is OFFICIALLY moving to Nigeria in September. I have heard talk of her plans and I had the opportunity to confirm the info with her directly.The stunningly fashionable American woman is well known and respected by her peers.

She has been traveling to and from Nigeria for the past 4 years, (spending 80% of her time in Lagos in 2008 ) has finally decided to make the move. Because of her long stay of 1-2 months plus each time she arrives Dr. Merritt was only able to spend very little time in her London, Hampstead Flat last year. gistmaster.com is aware of several top Nigerian corporations that have approached her in the past, although she would not tell us WHY she finally decided to relocate.

She simply stated that " Niyi, you know I love Nigeria." I now have LIFE LONG ties to your country. I have wonderful friends and business associates. WHY NOT? Besides I will be closer to both London and Spain if I need a holiday.The soft spoken American would not make any further comment on WHOM OR WHAT has influenced her to make such a BIG MOVE.I briefly asked her about the well being of her friend who she describe more as a sister, HER EXCELLENCY, Onari Duke and the plans that they had for the Calabar Womens and Childrens Hospital. She only laughed and stated that you know we do at least 2-3 big charity events each year and nothing changed. We have an exciting lineup of artists who have never performed on Nigerian soil for late 2009.

Tonya, who is well connected in the Nigerian corporate circle, is set to launch new ideas into the entertainment industry and also help with charity work.Dr. Merritt was here in January 2009 as she worked with the foundation that was supporting the street children of Lagos. She booked both Donnell Jones and Carl Thomas for that hugely successful event and was kind enough to share a few photos of the artist and friends.Dr. Merritt told the gistmaster that she is traveling to South America for an upcoming event and that she has 2 shows with 50 cent coming up in South America later this Summer.She can never stay away from Nigeria for too long so I think it would be safe to say she will be here MUCH SOONER THAN LATER and hopefully gistmaster.com will bring you a full interview.
