TAE UNLEASHED – AS BISOLA EDUN UNVEILS IKEJA GRA FLAGSHIP STORE
Have you ever heard the mantra - “eni ti o ra Ankara, ko le je semo”? [Please don’t ask me what that means]. Well, the explosive nature of the Nigerian Fashion industry has seen a widespread use of our indigenous fabrics in erstwhile unimaginable ways.
The incredible beauty: Bisola Edun
Intensely beautiful Bisola Edun [My brethren, that is no exaggeration], lead designer of TAE [pronounced Tai] is indeed spreading the wonderful gospel of Ankara and Batik with her new collection called Kaleidoscope – “A mirage of colors”. At the opening of her IKEJA flagship store located at 15b, Oduduwa Way, Off Isaac John Street on Sunday, 5th of July, it was a celebration of finesse in Nigerian couture.
Bisola brings creativity bordering on six [6] years of brilliant craftsmanship to bear on this collection. With a refreshing rendition of Baby Girl dresses, kimono Jackets and dresses, ra-ra skirts and tunic gowns, Bisola spared no expense as parading the versatile use of Ankara and batik fabrics. The high point, being the fiery embellishments using exquisite sequins, seed beads and other unidentified forms of embellishments. The collections expressed a wholesome synergy between elegance and fun in line with the summer season. Here are pictures which attempt to communicate the magical ambience we experienced – believe me, these pictures can only try!

WELCOME TO OUR UNBRIDLED WORLD OF STYLE
I am the DIVA to die for.
I touch down at Heathrow; it’s been barely six hours since we took off at Murtala Mohammed International Airport in Lagos. My adorable hair is still in place. HAIR SOLUTION is still the place. I walk majestically, not oblivious to the stares and catcalls from the admiring men and women alike. They think I am stunning. Why should I blame them? Indeed I am. I just stepped out of Hair Solutions on my way to the Airport; my perfect hair style is on check. The confidence I exude emanates from within, clad in Body shapewear I got at Etc Lingerie. My embellished Ankara kimono Jacket from TAE glistens in the afternoon sun, my matching bags and gladiator print sandals from Alima Oyofo.
This is my diary…
Hello people, my name is Moriam Musa.
My journey into the Nigerian fashion Industry began about six [6] years ago as a rookie journalist. My level of fascination has soared tremendously as I daily get enthralled by the finesse which our indigenous artistes display. From Lanre Da Silva Ajayi, Zizi Cardow, Tiffany Amber, Deola Sagoe, TAE, Alima Oyofo, Amede, Hallero, Adebayo Jones just to mention a few, the Nigerian fashion scene has fast blossomed into a goldmine. Our very own designers and stylists have worldwide repute and can stand their grounds anywhere in the world.
The problem however lies in the creative and strategic direction espoused in reaching their targets. This is where we come in. At Morsi, we believe that a Brand name is beyond a name, it is the beginning of a conversation. We are Fashion, Beauty and Lifestyle publicists, with a passion for creating the right kind of publicity for our clients.
What you would experience here is an explosive array of style immersed in professionalism beyond your imagination. We would bring you all the latest collections, designs, events, sales, new arrivals from our Clients.

PLENTY OF LOVE AS NIGERIAN DESIGNER, LANRE DA-SILVA SHOWCASES WORK AT THISDAY ARISE AFRICAN FASHION WEEK IN SANDTON,SOUTH AFRICA TODAY
Story &
photos by Niyi Tabiti
Chief Reporter
It was the turn of another wonderous Nigerian designer today to showcase her work at the Arise African Fashion week in South Africa. Lanre Da Silva-Ajayi did not disappoint the audiance at all.Unlike previous shows, Lanre used six Nigerian models. The list include Bunmi Ademokoya, Oluchi Onweagba,Amaka Chirah,Isi Atagamen,Pauline and Fome.
Nigerian models based in South Africa had earlier complained that they are being sidelined by the designers.
Many of them had planned to boo a Nigerian designer who showcased yesterday because of a comment ,which had earlier been credited to her. http://www.niyitabiti.blogspot.com/ learnt the said designer had said she would not like Nigerian models to feature in her show. However, the timely intervention of some people saved the day as they appealed to the models not to do that. The designer later denied the statement. Today, Lanre Da-Silva-Ajayi seems to be the queen of their hearts as they cheer her for not only using six Nigerian models, she also promised to pay them from her pocket. One of the elated models told http://www.niyitabiti.blogspot.com/ that Lanre is wonderful person that has the interest of others in her heart.
