NIGERIA ATTORNEY GENERAL SAYS HE IS WORRIED OVER NCC DG ANTICS

  By Niyi Tabiti
Mr. Mohammed Adoke (SAN), the Nigeria Attorney General and Minister of Justice has proved so far that he is a gentleman whose status befits the political office that he is holding. Those who have been watching the AG says he has re-branded the office, which used to seen as a depot for politicians who want to evade justice durning the era Mr. Aoadoakaa.
Last Thursday, gistmaster was in the office of the minister and the man was very bitter with the conduct of the Director General of the Nigeria Copyrights Commission (NCC),Mr. Adewopo Adebambo. Adoke said this while receiving Charly Boy, Keke Ogungbe and the chieftains of the Musical Copyrights Society of Nigeria (MCSN) who led a protest to his office. They came to protest what they call arbitrary use of power by the DG over copyrights issue. They also said that the DG pronoucement that only Copyrights Society of Nigeria (COSON) should be seen as the only collecting society in Nigeria. The protesters said the action of the Director General negates the principle of democracy and freedom of association. They wonder why he is partial in the whole issue.
In his response the Minister of Justice, Mr. Adoke said he has not been impressed so far by the way the Director General has been going about the whole matter. He also stated that since he got the petition from MCSN, he forwarded it Adebambo for his response but up till that moment, He was yet to reply to the allegations contained in the petition.
Adoke promised to deal decisively with any 'element' that want to make sure that the government of President Goodluck Jonahan is  not moving forward.

VLISCO BERTHS 'REFLET DE LUMIÈRE': OPTICAL ILLUSION

Vlisco takes colour to a higher level, bringing it to life with the new ‘Reflet de Lumière‘ fabric collection. The collection elucidates the disparity between silhouettes and movement with a colourful blurring effect. The designs create a surreal sense of structural forms, an illusion of architectural dimensions. This sensation is enhanced by the visual effect of morphing created by the interaction between shadows and the aura of coloured lights, merging to produce a graphical collection of unique fabrics. The English call it Optical illusion, the French call it - reflet de Lumière, we call it FANTASTIC !!!!!

MTN PROJECT FAME LATEST:GOLD AND LINDSEY EVICTED+PHOTOS FROM IJE MOVIE PREMIERE IN LAGOS

As MTN Project Fame Season 3 continues to entertain its millions of
fans, last week saw the first set of contestants leave the musical
show.

Lindsey and Gold became the first contestants to be evicted from this
year’s Project Fame. Both contestants were among the five contestants
with the lowest public votes that were up for eviction. The other
three contestants Modele, Joceilia and Shehu were saved by the judges,
the faculty and the remaining contestants while Gold and Lindsey were
left hanging.

Members of the public based their votes on the contestants’
performances of Asa and Tracy Chapman’s hit songs. Nigerian soul
singer Asa was around as a guest judge when the contestants were
performing. Judging from public votes Gold and Lindsey plus the
remaining contestants had the weakest performances of the night.

With two contestants now gone, 16 contestants are left in the race to
see who will be this year’s MTN Project Fame West Africa winner. This
lucky group of talented singers will have to face another hurdle this
week as another elimination round comes up

Another round of voting has kicked off after contestants yesterday
performed. With reggae icons Ras Kimono and Oritz Wiliki in attendance
and Ghanaian reggae star Batman Samini as a celebrity judge, the
contestants performed timeless reggae cuts from UB40, Lucky Dube, Ras
Kimono, etc.

You can now start voting for your favourite contestant or the
contestant who you think had the best performance of the night. Just
text the contestant’s number only to 306 from an MTN line. Please
remember to only text the contestant’s number and nothing else. Any
other added information will nullify your text.

During the week you can watch the contestants as they grow into
becoming full-fledged music stars. Throughout the week you can watch
30 minute episodes of their life inside the Performance Academy on
several TV stations all over the country.

Now in its third season, MTN Project Fame Academy is Africa’s leading
music talent show; discovering fresh music talents and nurturing them
