Just as Nollywood and Nigerian socialites are looking forward to the wedding of Nollywood actress, Dakore Egbuson and Olumide, son of Africa billionaire, Chief Harry Akande on Sunday 16 January 2010, many people are already looking forward to their designer clothes,posh automobiles, make up artist and so on

Gistmaster.com sources hinted that the bridal make up of the bride would be handled by celebrity make up artist, Bayo Haastrup of Ijade Egbin. Haastrup is one of Nigeria's leading make up artists and he has handled several jobs at local and international levels.

Haastrup is a veteran in the business and many people are comfortable with his work.He would work towards giving Dakore the super look that every bride  desire on their wedding day.

For event planning, Funke Bucknor- Obruthe the Chief planner of  Zapphire events have been mandated by the couples and both families to ensure that it has all the effects of royalty because of their celebrity status. K-square, one of the top event security outfits in Nigeria would be in charge of security for that day.

Dakore and Olumide Akande have been dating for about four years now. Despite the initial denial by the two lovebirds, they found out that there was no hiding place for them as they started stepping out at events together. Gistmaster.com gathered that at a point many thought they would go their separate ways as Olumide's parents allegedly kicked against the union citing her acting career and other things as excuse.

But love conquers all things.

Olumide Akande later denied the insinuations that his parents didn't want him to marry Dakore because she is an actress (Considering the way many people see actresses as people with loose character).

But Sources insisted that this is the case and that is why they have an agreement that after the wedding, Dakore would have to quit acting. Dakore confirmed in a recent interview that she would be saying goodbye to Nollywood. The reason, according to her is to enable her concentrate on domestic issues.

Former Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Malam Nuhu Ribadu has a total asset and liquid cash worth of N 26 million while leaving office in 2007. Ribadu who is now a presidential aspirant on the platform of Action Congress of Nigeria. 234Next claimed this was contained the asset declaration form of the former anti- corruption czar.

OLUMIDE OSOBA:FROM SOCIAL COMMANDER TO POLITICAL LEADER?

When it comes to partying, Olumide Osoba is always in the mood. Most times, he leads a battalion of silverspoons to upscale night clubs where people respect him so much. Well, Olumide is not stingy just like his father, Aremo Olusegun Osoba the former governor of Ogun State. Bouncers and others recognize his sense humility and philanthropy so they treat him special.

Right now, it is celebration galore for Olumide Osoba. He just won the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) primaries for the House of Representatives. The young man wants to represent Odeda/Abeokuta North/Obafemi Owode Federal Constituency of Ogun State. It was a keenly contested primaries and he faced the likes of Lekan Abiola, one of the sons of Late MKO and Alhaja Kudirat Abiola.

MISI MISSING IN ACTION?

It’s been four weeks since the show started proper, and if there is
one question most viewers want to know, it is- Why has Misi been
relegated to coordinating just backstage interviews?
Up until December 2010, Yemisi Fajimolu was an OAP at a Lagos based
radio station, and many of her followers on radio were looking forward
to seeing her on the Nigerian Idol stage.
But when the Nigerian Idol top 50 phase first aired on December 17,
2010, it was to a reserved Misi announcing that “For five weeks, I
will be interviewing the contestants backstage. Every week, eight will
leave and two will stay”
It remains uncertain if the decision was from the Idols team or from
Misi, but going by her tweet on Monday January 10, 2011 “I love the
entire Nigerian Idol contestants, seeing them go is not funny at all.
They work hard, and when you see all the work they put in, you can
only root for them”, it appears that Miss Fajimolu has built a tie
with the contestants these past weeks.
Misi’s association with Nigerian Idol started on September 21, 2010
when she was announced host at a world press conference held in Lagos.
But the licensees of Idols in Nigeria introduced a co-host Anis
Halloway during the Enugu auditions in October.
“Misi has a soft spot for the contestants, and it’s just normal for
her to be close to them. Most of them will easily talk to her and tell

Just before contestants leave for the big stage, Misi speaks to them
and tries to ease them of the stress while Anis introduces them on
stage. It is not clear when or if she will be returning to the stage
as earlier promised by the organizers, but there are speculations that

INDIAN POLICE ARREST NIGERIAN IN POSSESION OF DRUGS

A Nigerian was yesterday arrested for Drug peddling in Delhi, India. The Nigerian, Nwandike Ugo Ben after a branch team found the drugs in his possession.We gathered that Nwandike had been living inllegally in the country for about 17 years before his arrest. His one year visa had expired but he loves India or what do ya think?lol

NTA GETS NEW CHAIRMAN
 Meanwhile, President Goodluck Jonathan have also approved the appointment of Mr. Patrick Ogbu as the new Chairman of Nigerian Television Authority (NTA).
   

COURT REMOVES NWODO AS PDP CHAIRMAN

We gathered that an Abuja High Court has removed the National Chairman of Peoples Democratic Party,Chief Okwesilieze Nwodo. An Enugu High Court said he should stop parading himself as the Chairman of PDP. This is coming less than 24 hours to the PDP primaries.
The court says he should not only restrain from parading himself as Chairman of PDP, his fat salary and other benefits should also be stopped pending the determination of the suit.
 Meanwhile, we gathered that Nwodo has already raised legal forces that would enable him get throw the court pronouncement into the dust bin of history.
