AISHA BABANGIDA, HUSBAND EXPECTS FIRST CHILD TOGETHER

Aisha Babangida, daughter of former military head of state, General Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida is pregnant for her husband of about three years. Aisha married Mamud Shinkafi, the governor of Zamfara State in 2008. Her first marriage to Basheer, cousin of the Abachas didn't work and it led to divorce but they both have a child together.

Report according to  City people indicates that Aisha Babangida Shinkafi has temporarily relocated to Dubai in the United Arab Emirates, where she hope to have the baby. The latest news in the corridors of Nigeria's rich and mighty is the the report that Alex Iziyon, a reknowed lawyer and Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) has taken delivery of a state of the art private jet.

He even shared the testimony in Church and was said to have told his grass to grace story to inspire others to be diligent and optimistic in life no matter the situation. The top rate lawyer who is known to have handled several high profile business and political cases, could not hide his excitement as he also celebrated his achievement with some close friends and family members.

Gistmaster.com however gathered that the private jet is not just an object of desire, the billionaire lawyer is also using it to rake in good fortune from multinational companies and individuals who want to make use of it. They lease and pay him good money in return.

It is on record that in a year that owners of private jets in Nigeria spend immense fortune to maintain their jets.Aside the exhorbitant parking cost,they also pay pilots and the cabin crew etc- Trust, it doesnt come cheap.

Alex Izinyon, a doctorate degree holder in Law from the University of Uyo, Akwa Ibom State defended former Vice President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar durning his many constitutional cases. He also defended former late President Umaru Yar'Dua. He has a vast client base of politicians, high profile businessmen and blue ship companies.

FOUR NIGERIAN BANKS TO SIGN MOU WITH NEW INVESTORS THIS MONTH

The Governor of Nigeria's apex bank, Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN),Malam Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, disclosed that four of Nigerian rescued banks are expected to sign a momoradum of Understanding (MOU) with their new investors later this month (February 2011).

gistmaster.com gathered that the banks are Intercontinental Bank,Oceanic Bank,Bank PHB and Finbank Plc. The banks had earlier being bailed out in a $4 Billion (USD) deal.Shortly after Sanusi was made the governor of CBN, CBN detected that some banks are weakly capitalised due large toxic loans, mismanagement of funds and breach of trust by Chief Executives of the banks and their close associates.In all,there was shake up in the banking sector. CEOs of the affected banks such as Cecilia Ibru, Charles Atuche,Erastus Akingbola and others were removed.They are already being prosecuted in a court of law by Nigeria's anti-graft agency, EFCC.

Other rescued banks are at the final stage of concluding deals with investors. Some banks who can't maintain national spread and resources would become regional banks.

LIFE AND TIMES OF RAPPER,DAGRIN:AUDITIONING BEGINS FOR CAST,NEW DIRECTOR EMERGES

As a way of ensuring that the life, works and ideals of the late award-winning popular rapper, Dagrin, is sustained for future generations to learn from, Stingomania Records is finalizing plans to go on location to begin filiming of the GHETTO DREAMZ, a biopic based on the true life story of the late Dagrin.



The biopic which will chronicle the life and times of the rapper will feature the early life of the rapper, his rise to fame and circumstances that surrounded his death. It is expected that the movie will hit the Cinemas in late April as part of the 1st anniversary memorial project in honor of the late rapper

Following scheduling conflicts with Lancelot Imasuen, the director early penciled down by Stingomania Entertainment to produce the biopic, Barrister Ope Banwo, the producer of the movie has revealed that the movie will be now directed by one of the hot new generation Nollywood directors, Mr Daniel Ademinokan. Daniel Ademinokan is the director of recent blockbusters such as Guilty Pleasures, Bursting Out, Black Friday etc, he is one of the fastest rising Movie Directors in Nollywood and is widely seen as the shining star of the new direction of movie making in the industry. Daniel first made history as the Director of the first 2-Cast movie in Nigeria, MODUPE TEMI, featuring Saidi Balogun and Doris Simeon, and more recently made further history as Director of ETI KETA (the first all- native-ankara costume movie in nollywood)

Meanwhile, Auditions for all roles in the biopic have been scheduled to hold on Saturday, February 5, and shooting billed to commence on Wednesday, Febraury 9 at the former KINGSIZE restaurant near Adebola house in Opebi. Daniel Ademinokan revealed that the reason for the audition is to choose the best actors and actresses for the movie particularly the best person that can play Dagrin; The person to play Dagrin the person must have a resemblance with him in mannerism, looks and other traits as getting an actor that doesn’t meet up with that standard may forfeit the reason for the immortalization of the award-winning rapper

Revealing the reason for their taking up interest in the late rapper,

Barrister Ope Banwo, the Producer of the movie and the CEO of Stingomania records, said, “Dagrin was an emerging star in the Nigerian music scene, it is only imperative for stakeholders in the industry to do something about memorializing his name in a constructive and enduring manner, there is need for something to be done to keep his hopes and dreams alive for the next generation of struggling and upcoming artistes”

The colourful occasion which plays host to the mavens and connectors in the Nigeria business environment was indeed the crescendo of the Silver Jubilee celebration.

George Enenmoh.

They both described the growth of the company and its contribution to the nation’s economy as a monumental achievement, worthy of emulation by other players in the private sector. According to Daggash, who said he had a close relationship with the late founder of the company, the height recorded before and after the death of Engr. George Enenmoh by Ascon Oil speaks volumes for the quality leadership of the Group Managing Director of the company Mrs. Grace Enenmoh and loyal support from other management staff and stakeholders.

Representing the NNPC Group Managing Director at the occasion, Engr. Billy Ada also described Ascon as an independent marketer of petroleum products that has existed and upheld rules of best practice in the last 25 years. “As a company that was established by an experienced hand in the oil and gas sector, Ascon has contributed greatly to the sector and quota to the economy as well” he said.

The unveil of the new Ascon corporate identity was spearheaded by the Special Adviser to the President on Petroleum Matters Dr, Emmanuel O. Egbogah, OON alongside Ascon Oil top management and other notable personalities.  The Special Adviser to the President in his unveil speech said that the Ascon Oil management in innovative ways have initiated the need to improve on their corporate identity; to be more contemporary and to depict what the company stands for and operates by.

The invited guests were thrilled with some classical music (String Quartet) at the Cocktail, while the dinner had some life band music and DJ Freshwaves  with Dbanj ended the night with some energetic performances.

At the end of it all, everyone that were at the Ascon Oil 25 years anniversary dinner were full of praises and satisfaction as they hope that soonest there will be another reason to call for a similar gathering of this magnitude.
