This is really sad, very sad. Few days after news broke that fast rising comedian, CD John lost his life in a ghastly accident, news broke across naija that the country has lost yet another promising gem, Chidinma of the Kokomasion fame. She was one of the housemates of the kokomasion in 2009.May her soul rest in peace. We gathered that she needed blood but no donour.

GBENGA DANIEL TELLS OLURIN "YOUR FOREFATHERS WILL GO TO JAIL"
Anger and vituperation is the new style of politics in Ogun State as the incumbent governor, Governor Gbenga Daniel and the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Tunji Olurin continue to trade words in public. Daniel who was speaking at an event in Ijebu Ode said it is Olurin forefathers that will go to jail not him. This was in response to a recent statement credited to Olurin that he would send Daniel to jail for perpetuating corruption and mismanagement of public funds in Ogun State.
Daniel is expected to leave the saddle of leadership by 29 May 2011. Olurin was brought forward by the Obasanjo caucus of PDP in Ogun State.

OMOTOLA AND THE 'LAYING OF HAND': ENEMIES AT WORK
By Niyi Tabiti
“What did Omotola do? Tell me!!!” … “I know you are just like her and I am not surprised” two friends yelled at each other recently. I was shocked as I tried to referee a disturbing argument over what Omotola wore to Grammy Awards. I am used to argument on celebrities but this one was exceptional. I also asked myself “what has Omotola done that people criticized her so much about what she wore to Grammy Awards.
“Can you believe what people are saying about a woman who has contributed so much to entertainment in Africa?” One of them asked the other one said a presenter on radio told the other one “I bet you don’t know fashion. How can she dress like that to Grammy?”
The argument ranged on until the two friends started abusing themselves. Na wah o! Abeg them dey sell pure water for mall of America?
Gist merchants told me that the mistake Omotola made can still be over looked but she walked into a trap.
“Medicine” (That’s what I call him); my friend who works with a leading PR firm in Lagos reiterated that point. Going to the Grammy would have been a boost for her career especially now that there is rivalry between her and some people in Nollywood.
That mistake was over blown by her competitors who used every form to trash her presence at the Grammy.
“Niyi, Don’t forget that some people are envious of her and they used every means to write rubbish about her just because she is ahead of them. Many of them want to be in her shoes"
"They said she has a big tummy and so what? This is a woman that has four beautiful children and she is looking so lovely. Forget the burgling tummy"
Yes, Medicine would not agree less that the recent outburst of Omotola's appearance at Grammy Awards would affect her style rating and some PR jobs might just swing another way because of the comments.
"What about the laying of hands? I mean on the backside"...Well, lets say it s..t happens sometimes. Another person said most of the people saying what he considered 'rubbish' at Omotola are people who would gladly do it if they had the opportunity. Most guys felt bad that someone would comfortably 'lay his hand' on her booty. Do you how many guys that would do anything just to have Omotola's attention?
See me see trouble o!My friend decided to ask me a mischievous question, "Niyi if you have the opportunity, will you 'lay hands' on that booty or not?" Leave my answer out of it.lol
I checked out my archive and saw that I snapped the photo of a young man who came to Mania magazine launch the other day in Lagos. The young man 'seriously' (look at his face in the first photo) lay his hand on his babes 'bakaasi'...If you your partner have it,then carry go!!!
I have no choice than to agree with 'Medicine' that Omo Sexy's competitors have been waiting for that small mistake to 'humble' her. They really used it but gistmaster bet, Mattew Ekehinde, her pilot husband was not too worried about the whole saga. I just read on Linda Ikeji's blog that the celebrated 15 years of the marriage yesterday. If Omotola and her husband throw a party then it would be a way of saying no matter what, we are still rock solid like Olumo Rock!

REPORTER'S DIARY:SUPER EAGLES FRIENDLY MATCH WITH ARGENTINA COURTESY GUINNESS
By Niyi Tabiti
Finding my way to Eko Hotel yesterday morning was not difficult at all. The usual traffic bottlenecks was missing and I was just happy. I didn’t look up for more than once or twice as I was deeply engrossed in the newspaper that I was reading. It was fun going through a lot of empty promises made by some politicians.
As I walked into the reception I noticed a sport utility vehicle belonging to ex- Nigeria international soccer star, Austin Jay Jay Okocha. Okocha has always been a stylish man of note so his choice of automobile didn’t come as a surprise to me. The vehicle has a special plate number 10 (His favorite number as a player). Okocha’s beard is getting fuller and he seems to love it, at least if that would add to his style language and Nkechi is wife loves it, why not? Lol
Throughout his stay, he was accorded so much honour by the Guinness team and his former coach at Bolton Wanderers, Sam Allardyce. This is Sam’s first time visit to Nigeria and he confessed that it has been a warm reception. He lauded Okocha man as a gifted and humble player who did Bolton proud.
On stage as the compere of the star studded event was Daniel Amokachi. The flamboyant footballer rumoured to have bought a private jet in his hey days was looking like a model in his suit. He demonstrated that beyond football, he can also be a good MC.
Chief Dr. Rafiu Ladipo, the president general of the Nigeria Football Federation supporter's team was also on ground at the press conference. He said Nigerians would be waiting for top players from Argentina insisting that prolific soccer star, Messi should be present for the match.
The match has been slated for June 1 and it would hold at the Abuja Stadium. Aside Jay Jay Okocha, Daniel Amokachi and Kanu, other notable footballers at the event include Ogbonna, the younger brother of Kanu Nwankwo, Henry Nwosu,Bright Omokaro,ex- footballer and now Patrick Ikeji and several others.
It was a short ceremony, after which guests were treated to sumptuous meal prepared by Eko Hotel. I left the venue with the thought of the great challenge that awaits Nigeria's super eagles as we play with the South American top team. In fact, i have watched the prodigy known as Lionel Messi and how he has been messing up great teams and club sides. Those who has been watching him play for Barcelona can say more. I took photos from the event and you can see it by clicking here or visit the news page of our official website gistmaster.com
