FREEZE OF COOL FM OPENS UP ON HIS CAREER, WOMEN AND DREAMS

Ifedayo Olarinde  is one of the 96:9 cool fm’s coolest presenters.He is

popularly known as freeze. The sociology graduate of the

University of Ibadan, in  recent interview  talks about his life,

career, marriage, and female admirers.

The Osun state born father of 2, says he started  out in radio in 1996 with BCOS

Ibadan but later join cool FM in 2001 till date making it 15 years of

radio presenting, television and general entertainment.

The on air presenter says he loves the concept of the brand ‘freeze’

but has not yet gotten to that point of satisfaction as there is still a lot to

achieve in life.When ask about female admirers, he exclaims that it is a big

issue and he has about 3500 women on Facebook account   but has learn to manage

them.

JIMOH IBRAHIM BUYS NEWSWATCH

Nigeria billionaire, Mr. Jimoh Ibrahim has bought Newswatch magazine company. The oil magnate who is well connected within and outside the ruling Peoples Democratic Party recently held a meeting with members of staff of the company and he told them that he wont tamper with their editorial contents, rather his dream is to ensure that money is pumped into the company so that the publication can run smoothly.Gistmaster gathered that under the new arrangement, Mr. Ibrahim will among other things pay off the 7 months salaries being owed staff.
 Newswatch was founded in the 80s by late Dele Giwa, Ray Ekpu and others. The magazine used to parade notable Nigerians such as Chief Tony Momoh, Otunba Mike Adenuga and Chief Alex Akinyele as directors.Newswatch was used as a platform to fight the tyranny and oppressive government of the  military at that time. 
  Newswatch magazine Editor in Chief in 1986, Mr. Dele Giwa was killed in a letter bomb attack, which many considered to date as one of the most brutal  murder against any journalist in Africa
 It would be recalled that the Jimoh Ibrahim also bought National Mirror Newspaper  from the erstwhile owner, Mr. Emeka Obasi. The former Virgin Nigeria airline was also acquired by Jimoh Ibrahim,a lawyer.It is now called Nigeria Eagle.

CITY PEOPLE MAGAZINE HONOURS FASHOLA

The recently re-elected governor of Lagos state, governor Babatunde Raji Fashola SAN, popularly known as BRF, has bagged two awards from the recently held city 
people award.
The award for best south-west governor and best governor in Nigeria  were 
presented to Fashola at his Alausa Ikeja office, by the publisher of city people 
magazine Seye Kehinde and his team.
During the Presentation ,Governor Fashola thanked city people for believing in 
the Nigerian story and congratulated them for their good work in promoting 
entrepreneurship and development as well as their role in job creation. While 
symphatising with them for the unfortunate fire incidence which occurred during 
the award ceremony. According to city people, he accepted the award on behalf of 
his party (ACN), His colleagues in the government, members of Lagos state 
cabinet and the entire public servants of lagos ranging from security official 
through to the Lawma road sweepers and all others who have contributed to the 
success 
story.                         

SHUGA BAND STILL INTACT

Big Sam media recently issued a statement on behalf of their client, Shuga Band stating that there was noting like fight or splitting in Shuga Band.

The statement reads "It has come to our attention that some faceless individuals have been going about media house planting false stories that the highly respected and nationally-acclaimed band in Nigeria, Shuga Band has broken up with members moving out to start a new band.
We would not have bothered to dignify this with a response but for two reasons: reputable newspapers and journalists are beginning to take this as gospel truth without confirmation from us. Two, so that lie will not become the truth and the truth taken as lie.
For clarification purposes, the esteemed clients of Shuga Band and the public should note that no notable members of the band has left in the last three years or recently as reported.
Secondly, the supposedly 'notable' member of Shuga Band said to have left to start his own band has never been a member less being 'notable'. He was just a fringe session man who gets to play with the band to keep body and soul together.

How he became a 'top member' on whose shoulder the good fortune of the band rests as reported and planted by his publicist is now a wonder. And this person in question has not played with Shuga Band in the last three years. Within, these three years, Shuga Band has performed for President of the Federal Republic, Governors, at Mike Adenuga's daughter wedding and many notable events.
We know the game being played, these people are trying to sell their brand with the name of established and highly respected band, Shuga but we would like them  note that it is totally out of character to push their brand by trying to pull Shuga Band down. Especially when they know that the CEO of Shuga Band would have gladly given his blessings and support has he has always done if such had been requested of him. It is a known fact in the industry that Shuga Band supports other bands especially those established by past members of the band. This is a dirty game of trying to pull established brand down or drag it to a media/dirty fight to give publicity to the said new band. We enjoin members of the press to do thorough investigations and make necessary enquiries and not be tool of propaganda in the hands of people with 'pull him down syndrome.'

DAKORE, OLUMIDE AKANDE TWINS ON THE WAY!

Few months after the wedding of actress, Dakore Egbuson and her man, Olumide Akande, son of Nigeria’s politician and billionaire, the couples are expecting their first baby together. Dakore and Olumide came hand in hand to the the movie launch of the last winner of Amstel Malta Box Office (AMBO) at Genesis Deluxe Cinema, Lekki.

Dakore shas obviously added more weight and her bulging tummy was visible in her yellow gown. Olumide seems to be guiding his woman through every step.It Is a season of twins for stars, Mariah Carey just delivered her own.Remember, Celine Dion also had twins and Jennifer Lopez too. Who knows, its time for Dakore set of twins too!lol

Months before her weddings, Dakore has been less visible in the entertainment industry.she also confessed in her interview she granted Genevieve magazine that she would be doing less of Nollywood, giving confirmation to the gist that her in-laws are not too disposed to her acting career because of their social and political pedigree.
