The strong man of Kwara Politics, Dr. Olusola Saraki have revealed that though he has settled his political differences with his son, Former Governor Bukola Saraki but there are still more issues on ground. According to the elder Saraki, the former governor and his sister, Gbemi have not settled their misunderstandings.

At a gathering, Saraki said, he left Nigeria after the last gubernatorial election for the United States of America. Four days later, Bukola came to visit him in Los Angeles, California. He apologized and also asked a lot of influential people to talk to him over the differences they had at the last election. I have to forgive him so that opposition would not break their political walls, he said. He also forgave him in the interest of peace and tranquility in the state.

Saraki also said that Gbemi is still angry at the moment but efforts would be made to settle the whole thing at the family level.

It would be recalled that Bukola (Who was the sitting governor of Kwara State)did not support his sister's ambition to become the governor of Kwara State after him. Instead, he supported another person, who eventually became the winner. Gbemi, who was then a Senator left the Peoples Democratic Party to form another party, ACPN with her father and other party supporters.

SYLVIA NDUKA,NIGERIA's NEWEST BEAUTY QUEEN TALKS ABOUT HER FAMILY, CHILDHOOD AND LOVE LIFE

[caption id="attachment_6270" align="alignleft" width="355" caption="Sylvia Nduka"][/caption]

Shortly after winning the this year's edition of Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria contest, Sylvia Nduka granted Vivian Onuorah an interview where she talked about her growing up, why she admire Omowunmi Akinnifesi and other issues such as her love life. Enjoy

Who is Sylvia Nduka?

I am a very simple and easy going girl. I am a 3rd year student of University of Lagos, studying Accountancy. I hail from Anambra State. I grew up here in Lagos and I am the last issue in my family of 4. I had my secondary education at Queen’s College, Lagos and from there I went to Madonna University but I left after a year and I got an admission into Unilag.

Why did you leave Madonna University?

I did because of the distance, I live in Lagos with my parents and of course the distance of travelling that far every month to see my parents in Lagos was quite stressful for me that was why I left Madonna.

Is this your first attempt in a beauty contest?

Yes it is but when I was 16, I wanted to go for Miss Queens College but I was out of school so I missed the contest.

How did you get into the MBGN competition in the first place?

A friend of mine told me about it and I rushed to get my form which I filled and submitted. Luckily, I was selected like other lucky girls as well.

Did your parents know of your intention right from the beginning?

No, they didn’t and I couldn’t even tell them until I scaled through the first 2 screenings. But I was surprised that when I finally did, they weren’t even mad at me and they supported me all the way.

How would you describe your experience while in camp?

It was wonderful as well as stressful because there I had to do things I wasn’t used to; waking up very early every morning and engaging in different classes of exercise and others but it’s quite a memorable experience because I learnt a lot from other contestants too.

What is going to change about you now you have been crowned the 2011 MBGN?

Nothing really, I am still going to be my old self. I will still have my old friends and even make new ones as well but I will definitely no longer go to those my favourite joints in school to eat.

How did you feel when you were pronounced the winner?

Wow! I felt very happy and surprised at the same time because I didn’t expect to win. In fact, my heart was just pounding and I couldn’t explain the feeling.

How do you mean that you did expect it?

It’s not as if I didn’t expect to be victorious because in every contest one aspires to win but I didn’t see it coming.

What do you think got you the crown?

Well, I give it to God; I don’t think it’s by the looks or anything because every contestant there had the looks as well. I think it’s just the favour of God and I’m indeed grateful to Him for my victory.

How prepared are you to carry out your new responsibilities as the queen?

I know I am prepared.

What do you think is expected of you as the new queen?

Well I know a lot is expected of me to make a change towards growth and development in the country. Like now am going to start work on improving the academic standard of children.

How will you go about that?

Like now am going to work in partnership with some organizations to source for scholarship for some of these kids.

[caption id="attachment_6273" align="alignleft" width="333" caption="Omowunmi Akinnifesi"][/caption]

Among the past queens, who do you admire the most?

Omowunmi Akinifesi and that’s because she is a very intelligent person, she knows what she wants and goes for it.

Are you still going to have time for the man in your life?

No, there’s no man for now, am still single.

Why?

Because I feel am still very young for that and besides I don’t want any form of distraction from any guy at the moment.

REASONS VANGUARD IS DOING WOW EXPOSE- REMMY DIAGBARE,STYLE EDITOR

[caption id="attachment_6251" align="alignleft" width="319" caption="Remy Diagbare, Allure magazine editor, Vanguard"][/caption]

Report by Niyi Tabiti

Remmy Diagbare, the editor of Allure, the weekly style magazine published in Vanguard Newspapers disclosed reasons her company organized the annual Women on Wellness Expose Seminar.

In her statement at the ceremony, Diagbare said

"It is an incontrovertible fact that women have been least favoured in terms of socio-economic and political advancement all over the world, while men seem to enjoy more access to means of aggrandizement as well as opportunities for self fulfilment.

However, today’s women are not sitting back in the dark corners of their rooms bemoaning their fate; rather, they are actively creating various platforms to register their relevance as well as empower themselves for greater contributions in the socio-politico-cum-economic systems of their environment and the world at large.

The Women on Wellness (WOW Expose is one the concerns that are dedicated to enhancing the profile of women in the corporate world).

The WOW Expose, which is an initiative of Allure, exclusively Vanguard, is instituted to create a platform to engage women and provide relevant information with a view of bridging the gap between women and wellness by engendering total development of women through public enlightenment programmes and public discourse of salient issues that affect women.

The first in the series of WOW seminars was held from June 20 to 21, 2008 in Lagos with the theme, “Revitalising Today’s Woman: Spirit, Soul, Body”, while the theme for the 2009 edition was “The Balancing Act: Work, Life Balance”. It focused strategies women could adopt in the face of new and increasing challenges.

WOW 2011

This year presents us yet another opportunity to reach out to women (and men) on practical tips towards aging gracefully. The theme this time is “Ace to Wellness.” Be Healthy, Wealthy, Be Wise.

Today, Professor Oladapo Ashiru has chosen to address, in detail the various processes and transformations that occur in the body, with emphasis on how one can enhance one’s state of health as one grows older. As part of our financial well being package, First Bank and MTN will open our eyes to some of their money saving products.

Our prayer is that, while you enjoy the fashion show and music, you will go away having gained something from the erudite professor, which will help in the inevitable stages of aging.

I will like to use this opportunity to thank all our sponsors: Da Viva, Unilever, MTN, First Bank and Chevron"

I GAVE HIM ONCE, HE WANTS MORE,WHAT SHOULD I DO?

“I miss you”, Dave said. I pretended not to have heard him. Since the last time, ‘we did what did’ together in the office, I stopped talking to him.

I never had the audacity to look him in the eyes again. To think that my subordinate in the office touched me, slept with me and even did it in the office is just too heavy for me to bear. Dave knew that I distanced myself from him but he never stopped trying to get my attention.

After our usual Monday meeting, I noticed that he dropped a piece of paper under my laptop. I took it discreetly, so no one could see it. He wrote “Can’t stop thinking about you Ola sweetest!”

What’s the meaning of this? I asked my self. I got really upset with myself. Its not his fault after all, I was the one that allowed a ‘small boy’ climb me right in the office after work, grinding me back and forth, with his hand running through my body. I was shaking with inexplicable sensation as he squeeze me.

It lasted for few minutes but the thought kept turning me on anytime I remember.

The truth is, I enjoyed the few minutes of raw*** with him but trust me I have been doing all I could to avoid it happening again. He enjoyed it too and he wants more.It must stop I told my self. We work in the same office and he is my junior.

Lust or love? I got laid again! He came to my house pretending to be on visit to a family friend nearby.  " I went to visit a family friend nearby but i thought i should check on you" Dave said as he called my phone that Saturday afternoon. I looked through the window and noticed that he was right in front of my gate. I allowed him in...what happened beat my imagination. The i got laid again by Dave...Read more  on Ola's Diary for the conclusion of this part.
