Aside having fun, Bridget also had cause to thank GOD for her friend who lost and later found her purse. She was singing songs of joy. They took the gift bag containing the MOET, my purse and other things. I was shocked and perplexed but thank GOD the person that took it later returned the bag and my purse containing valuables intact. The person only took the MOET inside" she told gistmaster

OONA PRIDY-Oona, one of the Priddy sisters entered Civic Centre, venue of Elite Model Look 2011 with style and grace. She came with her friend, Elfreda Edewor and they both had fun as photographers clicked away on the black carpet. Some of her friends still consoled her on the death of her boadroom guru father, Olu Priddy.
By the way, lady about town and club owner, Louise Priddy is back in the country but she did not come for the show. A source close to Priddys told gistmaster that she is still managing to get  over the death of her father who died recently. "You know they are so close but sure she would soon get over it soon" said the source.

ELOHOR's $6000 shoes- Girl! Isihor Elohor was the cynosure of all eyes with her Giles Miller dress made by a British designer. She stands out as one of the best dressed at the event. Her shoes, gistmaster gathered that the Louis Vuitton shoes cost about $6000 and not many people own this type. She rocked Rehab too for the after party ensuring that the guests had a blast. She later left for her Hotel, somewhere in Victoria Island to relax.By the way, gistmaster gathered that the models were camped at Avenue Suites.

Tiwa Savage- The truth must be told, Tiwa Savage is blessed with a good body and wonderful stage performance.But someone needs to teach the chic the etiquette of fashion shows. Can you imagine at a fashion show with cameras, local and international personalities, Tiwa walked on the stage, while the show was going on-a model was making an appearance on the stage. Nikki Khiran and Eunice Efole were also guilty of doing the same thing!Haba, Nigerians especially those who should know have to take their time.

 Chinwe Ajere an  18 year Nigerian girl has emerged the winner of the Elite Model Look 2011.The Elite Model Look 2011 contest took place on Saturday September 3 at Civic Centre, Victoria Island, the palatial event centre owned by one of Nigeria's richest men, Mr. Jim Ovia. In 2010, the event was held at Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island.
 Gistmaster was there and we can tell you for free that the event was well attended by notable faces in Nigeria fashion and style industry. The list is just too long but trust us to give you a lot of behind the news gist from the event.
 The model contest winner would be going to represent Nigeria at the Elite Model of the world contest in  China. Isior Elohor the managing director of Beth Models, organisers of Elite Model Search in Nigeria thanked all for coming. Judges included famous fashion photographer, Kelechi Amadi Obi, Mrs Omoyemi Akerele of Style House files,Helen Jennings the Editor of Arise magazine and style guru, Bola Balogun.

ACCESS BANK CHIEF, AIGBOJE AIG-IMOKHUEDE RINGS THE BELL ON INTERCONTINENTAL BANK WITH 50 BILLION NAIRA

 Aigboje Aig- Imokhuede the group managing director of Access Bank Nigeria Plc is ecstatic about buying Intercontinental Bank off the shelf! Today in Lagos, the latest news reaching gistmaster indicates that Access Bank is coughing out 50 billion Naira to acquire 75 per cent of Intercontinental bank.
 Aig-Imokhuede confirmed today in Lagos that Access bank has concluded all it needed to do to take over Intercontinental Bank. According to him, the merger would have a strong network of about 500 branches when it finally take off. Shareholders of both banks are also expected to vote at the end of September 2011 on the merger.
It would be recalled that Intercontinental Bank, formerly managed by Mr. Erastus Akingbola was ' diagnosed'  of having serious toxic debt problem, amongst other several issues detected by the malam Sanusi Lamido Sanusi led Central Bank of Nigeria.

ALICIA KEYS MEETS AFRICAN YOUTH IN MTV BASE MEETS WITH MTN


Award-winning musician, writer, producer, humanitarian and activist Alicia Keys is the final interviewee to be questioned by African youth in the current series of MTV Base Meets…with MTN
The R & B legend met up with 6 young Africans and MTV Base VJ Sizwe Dhlomo in New York City in August 2011 for a far-reaching discussion that touched on female empowerment, HIV and AIDS, motherhood, family, music,  the importance of education and Keys' difficult early life growing up among prostitution and drug abuse.
Among the panellists who lined up to meet with Alicia Keys were Zambian entrepreneur Alton Ford who won a once-in-a-lifetime trip to meet his heroine in New York City after participating in a pan-African MTV Base Meets…With MTN contest.  Other panellists featuring in the episode include South African dancer Yoliswa Cele Luthuli, Zimbabwean model and blogger Makho Ndlovu, Rwandan singer-songwriter Iyadede and South African stylist Gugulethu Banda.
Inspirational musician Alicia Keys has sold more than 35 million albums, notching up two number one singles and 4 US number one albums.  In her stellar 10-year career, she has won a plethora of awards including 14 Grammy Awards, 4 MTV Video Music Awards and Best R&B artist at the inaugural MTV Africa Music Awards (MAMA) in 2008.
