LATEST NEWS: NNPC IS NOT RECRUITING-MANAGEMENT

The Management of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, on Monday clarified issues surrounding the reported recruitment exercise advertised on the Corporation’s website and on some online media.

Group General Manager, Public Affairs Division of the Corporation, Dr. Levi Ajuonuma explained in a press statement that the job vacancies concern some vacant positions at the Doha, Qatar Headquarters of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum, GECF which Nigeria is a member.

``We wish to clarify that at the moment NNPC is not recruiting. The said job vacancies on the NNPC website are meant for aspiring professionals who wish to work at the Gas Exporting Countries Forum, GECF, with Headquarters in Doha, Qatar whose Nigeria’s Secretariat  is currently under the headship of Engr. Billy Agha, an Executive Board member of the Forum and also our Group Executive Director, Engineering and Technology,’’ Ajuonuma explained.

He stated that the NNPC is providing the space for the Job

A presenter from Silverbird had approached her for short interview on the red carpet, Agbani did not even stop talkless of having the normal red carpet chit, chat. Instead she just looked back and told the reporter, "Tell Bruce or guy to call me" 
Meaning the reporter is too small for her, rather, she should tell Ben Bruce, the chairman of Silverbird or Guy one of the Directors to call her!
   Agbani was a past Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria but she later won Miss World. To many, Agbani did not leverage on her position to actually make things happen on the international scene. Last year, she became a gentle touch ambassador and recently,she also  got an endorsement deal from Arik Air Nigeria.

LATEST NEWS:MODELS PROTEST 100 POUNDS PER DAY PAY AT ARISE AFRICA FASHION WEEK 2012

 Some Nigerian models who felt that they were being paid 'peanuts' compared to what other models coming from outside would be earning at Arise Africa Fashion Week decided to stage a walk out on Wednesday 7 March 2012. As at the time of going to press, the issue was yet to be resolved.Sources told gistmaster.com that the Nigerian models would earn twenty five thousand Naira per day (100 Pounds Sterling).Some of the models were called in for talks.
The event, which was billed to have started on Tuesday 6 March have now been defered for two days now, with insiders blaming logistic problems.Gistmaster.com gathered that some of the difficulties may have been due to negligent on the part of some people who did not sort out neccessary things before yesterday.
 We sent a mail to a member of the media team of Arise but no response yet.
  Arise Africa Fashion Week organization is headed by Mr. Nduka Obaigbena, a man regarded as one of the finest newspaper/magazine publishers in Africa.Obaigbena has also carved a niche for himself as the organizer of some of the biggest and most sought after social, business events in Africa.
The first edition of Arise took place at the Sandton Convention Centre, South Africa in collaboration with Africa Fashion International (FI). Last edition took place at Federal Palace Hotel,Victoria Island, Lagos-Nigeria.This year 77 designers have been lined up to take part in the fashion week.

Lets hope our guess is right.Last week, yours truly sighted newly wedded Nollywood actor, Chinedu Ikedieze popularly known as Aki, at Omole phase one in Lagos.
 Aki who came with a male assistant who drove him, came to shop for some designer stuffs.He stormed a shop that stock things for babies and kids within the age bracket of 0-12.
Any one who knows the versatile actor will testify that he is a lover of quality things.He also walk the walk the way he work the work. If you don't understand, then you need to see him walk. He shows off as a man who GOD has blessed.
 Trust, gist merchants, some of them started gossping on whether or not his beautiful wife, Nneoma is already pregnant and carrying Aki Junior or he came to shop for himself.
Any which way, let us hail one of Africa's most talented actors, Chinedu Ikedieze of the Aki and Paw Paw fame.
