What Do You Call Your Husband?

I attended the closing ceremony of a programme in a Redeemed Christian Church of GOD recently. In her closing remark,Pastor Mrs.Christiana Omunagbe of Lagos Province 17 said women should not call their husbands by their names.

Omunagbe said it is unafrican to call your husband his name instead you  should call him by a special name instead of screaming his name.It is disrespectful.

She insisted that some people will say people do so abroad but we are Africans.

I tend to support view.My friend's wife call him Segun, even if the guy is accross the road, she will shout Segun!Segun!!
Some people their wives even call them Olori buruku...lol
In Yorubaland, most women address their husbands as 'our daddy'

FEMI KUTI’s EX; FUNKE KUTI IS A REAL HOUSEWIFE

Lagos | 30 July 2013 -- The entertainment industry has been buzzing since
rumors began circulating that the Real Housewives franchise is coming to
Lagos--this would make Lagos the first African city to be featured. There
has been a lot of speculations about which high society ladies will be
featured be on the show.

There is no way of confirming these rumours not much is known about the
producers of this show. It's only natural that a show of this sort would
generate as much excitement as it has.

The latest name to drop on the list of stars for the show is that of Femi
Kuti's ex-wife the beautiful and amazing Funke Kuti.

I know that these women are certain to officially put Lagos on the global
map. It would be very entertaining to peek into their daily activities,
their lavish life styles, watch them at their soirees, get their latest
gist, gossip and see how their amazing personalities mix or don't mix on
reality television.

The lives of affluent, bourgeois housewives and professional women would be
100% entertaining especially when the women in question are Nigerian women.
In fact the show may even be bigger than the Atlanta version.

It's no longer news that Kenya Moore, former Miss USA and star of the Real
Housewives Of Atlanta was in Nigeria last month for Dbanj's DKM concert. We
have reasons to believe that she might have met with some of the
prospective cast members of the Real Housewives of Lagos like Caroline
Danjuma, Shade Okoya and Funke Kuti during her visit to Nigeria. Sources
say that Kenya Moore's production company is the producer of Real
Housewives of Lagos.

False and Lies Men Tell-Uche Jombo

Actress cum producer, Uche Jombo is back on our radar, with something refreshingly distinct from her past works, the actress whose last work  A Mother's Fight and Misplaced garnered rave review, attention and patronage in the DVD market, will be releasing two works before the month end: False and Lies Men Tell.

False starred Kate Henshaw, Kalu Ikeagwu and Uche herself;  Kalu is the unfortunate husband who wanted to eat his cake and have it, by playing love with a stranger on Blackberry despite having a dutiful and dedicated wife in Kate Henshaw.

In a twist of plots, the stranger (Uche Jombo) took the play too far, believed the mirage and romance of Blackberry Messenger (BBM) to be real, went to Kalu’s house and demands that Kate leave her matrimonial home for her to come in.

Unfolding event afterwards proved fertile as life was lost or the verge of being lost. Kalu tried to save his marriage at the same time got caught in the web of manslaughter/murder; it was a classic case of BBM romance gone too far.
In Lies Men Tell, a philandering Ibo husband, Desmond Elliot took his playboy game too far, his smart wife, Uche Jombo outwitted him in the game of smartness.

It will be a game of winner take all with a Range Rover worth over ten million naira at stake. Desmond told series of lies like adulterous men do, but at every juncture he met the imprint of his wife.

In another family, Bayray Mcnwizu, after enduring series of lies from her philandering husband Mofe Duncan, got an STD as an attendant consequence. It was one endurance too many.

The release of both movies at the end of this month will coincide with the celebration of Uche Jombo’s month on Africa Magic Entertainment on DSTV.  In the last couple of years, Uche Jombo as not only earned her place among A-list actresses, she has transcended to be a prolific movie producer with over 12 movies to her credit.
