Late businesswoman Omolara Sonoiki Laid to Rest:How she died of Cancer in the US
Omolara Edith Sonoiki is dead.The socialite and entrepreneur was the founder of Dresssense and Niki Energy company.
The cause of her death was attributed to cancer.She passed away in the United States of America on June 16 2015.
Gistmaster gathered from a profile published by The Elite that Omolara Olaide Sonoiki was born on November 8, 1974 into the family of Mr.& Mrs Johnson Oyewole. She attended Our Lady's of Apostles in Ijebu- Ode, and graduated from the Ogun State University Ago-Iwoye, in the Year 2001 with a Bachelors Degree (Bsc) in Town and Regional Planning. She worked briefly with the Lagos State Ministry of Environment & Physical Planning before she veered into business.
Omolarami, shortly after leaving the ministry, founded Dressense Clothings in 2002.
Dressense is today an household name in the world of corporate clothing. Over the years, the clothing outfit has evolved into a brand and a favourite of most fashion-discerning ladies. The outfit is simply distinguished for exclusivity, unique styles and refined tastes, with presence in Alade Market, Allen Avenue, Ikeja and Awolowo Road, Ikoyi.
Omolara was also the Founder and Promoter of Noik Energy Limited. A company she founded in 2007. Under her management Noik Energy Limited today became a major player in the downstream and midstream in the Nigeria oil and Energy Sector.
Omolara was also the brain behind AMAS Foundation. AMAS was founded in 2012 to support the less privileged, especially for their educational growth. A meaningful achievement had been recorded in her life time with great intension to reach out to the larger society in three years of operation.
Fondly called Laroski by her husband and close friends, Omolara had great passion for cooking, shopping and especially traveling. She loved family time and attention. She had exceptional taste for quality and good finishing. She never settled for less in what're she did
Those who knew Omolara during her lifetime, will describe her as an exceptionally humble, enterprising, industrious and humane lady. She always wore an infectious smile and showed graciousness to everyone she came across.
Omolara is survived by her husband, Oluwagbenga Abidemi, and three children: Teniola, Foyinsolami and Nifemi. Also left to mourn her are her mother, siblings and numerous close friends.
