A prominent national daily newspaper, (Daily Champion)
in Nigeria reported that the publisher of Our Daily Manna, Rev. Dr Chris
Kwakpowe, was assassinated at his home by unknown gun men. His full name was

Tuface covers Bubbles magazine april edition in style

The April 2013 edition of Bubbles Magazine is covered by African pop icon

Lagos:Four women beat policeman,charged to court

Four women were on Tuesday in Lagos arraigned in an Ebute Meta Magistrates' Court for allegedly assaulting a policeman.
The accused: Sharon Moses, 26, Emily Monday, 22, Cynthia Amaka, 21 and Sabina Osondu, 27, are facing a one count charge of assaulting a police officer.
Moses, resides at DLA Road Asaba, Lagos; Monday at No19 Church St, Ikorodu, Lagos;  Amaka, No.9, Atiba close, Value Estate Dopemu, Lagos while Osondu, lives at Nigeria Airforce Base, Ikeja, Lagos.
The Prosecutor, Mr Samuel Ishola, told the court that the crime was committed on April 19, at Ritalori Hotel, Bode Thomas St, Surulere, Lagos.

Man caught inside roof top of a shop twice

A 30-year- old security guard, Ebi Robert Abariko, wept bitterly at an Ijeshatedo Magistrate's Court, pleading with the Magistrate to spare him the agony of going back to prison because he was recently released from custody on bail.

He told the court that his wife had just delivered a baby girl and if he was confined in prison custody, his wife and the new baby would suffer since his wife does not have any means of livelihood to support the family.

Abariko, was said to have been caught in a roof of a shop where he went to steal pampers, provision, cosmetics and perfumes valued N220, 000, belonging to Mrs Santes Bob, who owns the shop.

However,  his pleas to the presiding Magistrate, Mrs A.O Gbajumo, fell on deaf ears. Abariko, who is from Delta state, was said to have just been  released  from Kirikiri prison last Month and he went back to commit similar offense that has now landed him in prison again.

The father of two was caught inside a shop roof at 224, Ijesha road, Ijeshatedo, Lagos where he went to steal.  He was unlucky again and was caught and he escaped been lynched by an angry mob.

He was said to have succeeded in burgling another shop at number 142 of the same street within the vicinity belonging to Mrs Mariam Salami, while he was still facing trial at the same court.

When he was arraigned in court, he pleaded not guilty.

The prosecutor, Kunle Shonobare told the court that Abariko had similar matter in the court which he was granted bail and he went again to committee the same offense.

However, Magistrate Gbajumo, granted him bail in the sum of N100, 000 with two sureties in like sum.    She adjourned the matter to April 24, 2013, when he would be facing another matter in the court. While he was being taken to the prison, he told Crime Alert that he was a security guard and his monthly salary is N15, 000, which he said was not enough to take care of his family.

Bricklayer arrested with 5 guns

Two AK47 rifles and 17 magazines with 30 rounds, were last Wednesday recovered from the home of an armed robbery suspect, Kazeem Adebola.
A bricklayer by profession, 30-year-old Adebola, who resided with his wife and child at Orisumbare Street, Ayobo, Lagos, had hidden the arms in the ceiling of his kitchen.
The arms were allegedly being kept for a notorious armed robbery gang, said to be responsible for a robbery attack in Victoria Garden City last month and a host of other robberies at Ajah.

Pastor charged for stealing female church member's underwear

The police in Lagos on Monday arraigned a 25-year-old pastor, Tommy Issachar, over an alleged stealing of a female church  member's underwear and N10,000 cash.
Issachar, who resides at No 35, Mafoluku St., Mafoluku, Oshodi, Lagos, appeared before an Oshodi Magistrates' Court in Lagos, on a two-count charge of breach of public peace and stealing.
The prosecutor, Cpl. Kehinde Olatunde told the court that the accused committed the offences on April 12 at Mafoluku, Oshodi.
He said that the accused stole two pants, one bra and a cash sum of N10,000 belonging to Mrs Gift Bassey.
