The much anticipated Hip Hop World Award took place in Lagos, Nigeria,yesterday and did not end until the early hours of today (16 March 2008)

The much anticipated Hip Hop World Award took place in Lagos, Nigeria,yesterday and did not end until the early hours of today (16 March 2008)
Shortly after the ceremony there was an after party at Planet One Club located right inside the same compound where the award took place.
Asa’s album carted home awards in three different categories, thereby making it the highest at this year’s edition.9ice, Nigerian’s newest sensation did not disappoint as he won two awards. Unlike Asa who was absent at the awards due to other engagements,9ice was at the ceremony to pick up the awards.Expectedly,he was accompanied to the ceremony by Toni Payne, the queen of his heart.
9ice performance at the award ceremony was also voted as the best at the award ceremony.
