From my early days as a Fashion Journalist, I have been exposed to the very many sides of Fashion and its evolution in the industry in Nigeria and I can say for a fact that very few designers possess the artistic insight of EREDAPPA.
ABOUT EREDAPPA
Ere Dappa Hart is a Nigerian born designer who specializes in designing womenswear made from local Ankara fabric that is layered with a labyrinth of intricate beadwork. Ankara fabric is depictive of the African culture as it displays the motives, symbols and patterns that are reminiscent of events, old traditions and folklore. EREDAPPA’s Design can be described as multilayered or 3 dimensional as she uses Ankara as her canvas.
For years, EREDAPPA has catered to a very elitist group and for the first time in a long time, she embarks on a mainstream display at the ARISE MAGAZINE FASHION WEEK.
