Dimeji Alara, the famous stylist and editor in chief at Mania Magazine escaped death by whiskers when suspected hired assassins stormed his Lagos home on 29 July 2011.
Alara told blogger, Stella Dimoko Korkus that he was shocked to the marrows of his body when the hoodlums invaded his residence,demanding for money. They also told him that he would be killed because that was their aim.They kept asking for money as if they had info from somewhere that he had a substantial amount at home but there was little, he narrated. Three of them, Alara said, were with huge guns that could blow ones head off in a second. Thank God, his life was spared in the operation.
This is one experience he would never forget in a hurry.
