Lanre Teriba, popularly known as Atorise was not lucky recently as armed robbers invaded his posh home inside Magodo Estate in Lagos,beating him and carting away several valubales.
Atorise confirmed the incident to Afolabi Oyekoya. He said that he was shocked to see the dare devil hoodlums in his home around 2 am. They were all armed to the teeth. Immediately they stepped in, they started harassing Atorise and his band boys. They took all their phones and robbed the Yoruba hip hip gospel musician of about N500,000 (Naira).
Just last year, Atorise was robbed at his Maryland, Ikeja home before he relocated to the new place in Magodo.
Hear him, "Last year, i was robbed at my Maryland residence. I was just driving out of my house to a show when they approached me inside my Hummer Jeep. They asked me to come out of the car and lie on the ground. On sighting my face, the leader asked me to get up and sing for him. He said his wife loves my music and he will not hurt me. All that he needs from him is to sing for him and also pray for him and i did. Funny enough before they left with my phones and some money, he asked me to hug him. One just have to be careful because Lagos is not safe as many believes"
