On Thursday 27th March 2008, Segun Adeoye of Tell Magazine emerged as the young Journalist for the year 2007. This was made known at the award presentation ceremony of the 2nd Young Journalist Awards held at the Conference hall, LTV ground, Agindingbi, Ikeja, Lagos . Following the breaking news report in www.niyitabiti.blogspot.com on Monday that Psquare, a popular hip hop group in Nigeria, alleging that Hip Hop World award was a total shame to the entertainment sector, bloggers and opinion makers have said the group has no case at all. When the case was brought for hearing on that same day, the elder brother of the group and their manager, Mr.Jude Okoye disclosed that the award should be seen as a tribal attack and a slap on the entertainment industry. He cited certain authorities as defence.He told celebrity court that Ayo Animashaun and other members of Hip Hop World award only gave awards to people from the south west origin except 2face, Timaya and Rugged man. However, comments emanating from bloggers show that people are angry with the group for dragging Hip Hop World Award before the celebrity court.
