Right now, the next big thing that is happen in Nigeria on the fashion scene is Nigerian Model of the Year contest (NMA). According to findings by www.niyitabiti.blogspot.com, the registration form is out at the rate of N5000 (about $50).Nigerian 'babes' from all over the world are eligible to apply. Screening will take place in different part of the country. The event proper takes place on 31 May 2008.
Nigeria Model Awards is annual event put together by Lexy Mojo-Eyes’ led Legendary Gold International. They are also organizers of the yearly Nigerian Fashion Show in Nigeria, France and Italy. Legendary Gold also organized the first Nigerian Fashion Week in Lagos, last year. They have been in the business for about 11 years.
The winners of the Nigerian Model Awards have the opportunity to travel to fashion cities of the world. She will also represent Nigeria at Ford Supermodel of the World contest in New York, USA.
Last year, Blessing Bassey won NMA in Lagos. She was in the USA this January.NMA used to be Nigerian Fashion TV Award.Bisi Sowemimo was the first ever winner.
Apart from a brand new XLI Toyota that was given to her, it launched her into big time modeling. She has been to different parts of the world doing her thing on the runway.
If you think you are good…don’t ‘cover’ your talent…come and show what you have got!

I want to state that Bisi was given an XLI brand new Toyota car in her time.I am 100 per cent sure.In fact, i once drove with Bisi Sowemimo in the car.Lexxy Mojo-Eyes the CEO of Legendary Gold can confirm that Bisi was given a car.Others who won after Bisi did not get such opportunity.

Nice articule.Legendary gold should try and include cash prizes and I think the winner deserves a brand new car.Dont you think so?
ReplyDeleteanonymous, get ur facts right. Bisi sowemimo is my sister-in-law. I married her immediate elder sister, shade sowemimo, and we used the Toyota Corolla Bisi won during our wedding in October 2004 at ikeja registry. Bisi is now in south Africa, modelling and schooling. that is first hand info from family.
