GUINNESS ALLAY FEARS ON PRODUCTION CAPACITY

The management of Guinness Nigeria plc has assured the public, and mainly its consumers and distributors, that the fire outbreak in a limited part of the premises of the Brewery in Benin City, Edo state will in no way affect the production capacity of the brewery. According to a statement signed by Mr. Babatunde Savage, the Deputy Managing Director, the company’s ‘’trained fire marshals were on ground to promptly put out the fire and prevent the spread to other sections of the brewery. There were no injuries reported and the incidence did not affect production at the brewery.’’ He stressed that operations continued as usual at all the company’s breweries and there has been no impact on production. ‘’Safety of life and property is a key priority for the company, therefore during the incidence, untrained persons were not allowed into the premises to avert any danger to lives.’’ He added.
