TIMAYA BUYS BENTLEY-SHOW OFF AS KING OF ENTERTAINMENT IN SOUTH SOUTH

Unlike Duncan Mighty who recently came out to deny the news that he bought a Rolls Royce ,close friends of Timaya, another south south based musician are insisting that he just took delivery of powerful Bentley car that would send tongues waging. Timaya (real name Alfred Enetimi Odom) who is currently in America to perform at various shows was said to have paid millions of Naira for the car. 

 Someone told gistmaster that that Timaya went for the Bentley to show off to Duncan Mighty his main competitor in the South South that he is far ahead in luxury."You know Duncan was said to have sponsored a fake report that he bought a Bentley but later denied it. Now, Timaya is for real"
 In one of his songs, Duncan Mighty had said , he thanked God because the likes of Timaya, J Martins,Bracket and others are emulating his style. 
On his alleged rivalry with Ducan Mighty,Timaya had this to say in an interview he granted sometime back "Duncan Mighty is my man and we are friends. I will be travelling to Port Harcourt and I will surely see him when I get there. He was with me throughout the Christmas period and we had fun together"
"So how can you say he has taken over my kind of music? The press has a way of making people quarrel, because they carry stories that are not true sometimes. Some of them don’t even do researches about their stories; they just pick up their pen and write rubbish. How can they say he took over my music, those days that I use, to perform in shows, they pay me 1.5million naira but now I don’t take that kind of amount again.  So tell me if I don’t agree to perform won’t they call in the next person that is available that will go with that amount?"

NIGERIA'S MOST BEAUTIFUL GOSPEL ARTISTE,ZYON RELEASES DEBUT ALBUM

Zyon one of Nigerian's most talented inspiration singers has released her album. She told gistmaster  that it took sometime to finish work on her album because she wants it to meet and surpassed the expectations of many of her fans.
The album is titled 'Zyon' and it has 6 tracks- Zyon, I know who I am',Omewo Mnama,Moti seun rere,Jehovah and Instrumental. 
 The gospel album comes with a rich blend of traditional flavour of Yoruba and Igbo songs.
 Zyon who is happily married also told us that she will forever be grateful to her husband,Chukky Chidi who is supporting her music career.She also thanked her Pastors-Chris and Anita Iyakhilome of Christ Embassy,Pastor Deola Okeowo her zonal pastor and others.
 Television and radio stations have started playing the songs of this fast rising star.

 We are excited that this December, it is the turn of beautiful traditional singer, Muma Gee to be married. Muma Gee's glamorous wedding to Prince Eke took place in Rivers State. Unknown to many people, Gulder beer played a very important role in their love story.

After the reality show sponsored by Nigerian Breweries Plc,there were speculations in town that Muma Gee and Emeka Ike had something in common. Rumour had it they started dating right from the location of the Gulder Ultimate Search.
 Muma Gee denied that there was any such thing between them.As part of ways to douse the tension the rumour might have caused between Emeka Ike and his wife, Muma Gee went to visit the Ikes at their home. It was there she met Prince Eke, Emeka Ike's best friend.Initially, Muma Gee said she was reluctant but things later fell into place. As a way of getting a sincere marriage assurance, Prince Eke promised that there won't be any sexual relationships between them their wedding.

The news being spread around that international music act, Akon is dead has been described as nothing but a false news.Those close to Akon has classified the information which has it origin on twitter as a figment of some peoples imagination.Akon, according to the news item allegedly died of AIDS related ailment.

Akon who was born in America to a senagalese father,he was taken back to Senegal where he spent his early childhood.The 38 year old Akon has made several million of dollars from album sales,concerts,royalities and endorsement deals.

   Akon shot into limelight in 2004 after he was released from prison. He released his debut single 'Locked Up' from his debut album 'Trouble'

He followed this up with another album known as 'Konvicted'

He has performed in different parts of the world.

LATEST NEWS:REAL REASON DBANJ DID NOT ATTEND CHANNEL O AWARDS IN SOUTH AFRICA

D'banj has finally opened up why he could not make it for this year's Channel O awards.In a statement made available to Gistmaster this morning by the publicist of Dbanj,there is no ill feelings between Dbanj,Mohits and the organizers of the award.
Dbanj did not attend Channel O awards because he could not fly the night he was billed to fly. He was booked on a Business Class seat but placed on waiting list, so on getting there, he and his crew discovered there was no seat available for D'banj.
 All efforts to get him to fly that night proved abortive.

 Lanre Teriba, popularly known as Atorise was not lucky recently as armed robbers invaded his posh home inside Magodo Estate in Lagos,beating him and carting away several valubales.
 Atorise confirmed the incident to Afolabi Oyekoya. He said that he was shocked to see the dare devil hoodlums in his home around 2 am. They were all armed to the teeth. Immediately they stepped in, they started harassing Atorise and his band boys. They took all their phones and robbed the Yoruba hip hip gospel musician of about N500,000 (Naira).
 Just last year, Atorise was robbed at his Maryland, Ikeja home before he relocated to the new place in Magodo.
Hear him, "Last year, i was robbed at my Maryland residence. I was just driving out of my house to a show when they approached me inside my Hummer Jeep. They asked me to come out of the car and lie on the ground. On sighting my face, the leader asked me to get up and sing for him. He said his wife loves my music and he will not hurt me. All that he needs from him is to sing for him and also pray for him and i did. Funny enough before they left with my phones and some money, he asked me to hug him. One just have to be careful because Lagos is not safe as many believes"

 We could not immediately reach the couple for comments, but enquiries to their publicists revealed they’re engaged to be in Port Harcourt on Saturday February 12. ‘I cant confirm right now if it’s Cupid’s Ball or not, but I’m aware they’re in Port Harcourt for Valentine’s day this year’. The event is a dance and dinner gig for lovers and it’s holding at Hotel Presidential.

NINA,OLA EVICTED FROM NIGERIAN IDOL

...As Audu goes missing in action

Two contestants with the lowest votes were evicted at last Thursday’s result show on Nigerian Idol. The two contestants Nina and Ola were part of the contestants the audience voted in during the top 50 phase. While Ola made it to the final stage during the first group, Nina was the contestant with the highest votes in the fourth group.

 But the Idol journey came to an end for both last Thursday as they recorded the lowest fan votes.

After their eviction was announced, the audience was treated to a recap of their journey so far, and it was an emotional experience for the judges and the contestants. Infact Bibi and George couldn’t hold the tears.

“It’s a tough decision to make, but if I had my way, I’d send Yeka Onka parking without looking back”. Yinka Davies said right before Anis announced Nina and Ola as the contestants with the lowest votes. “I think I’d go with Yinka, I totally agree with her on Yeka” Jeffery adds

 But then, the format had to be followed. The judges no longer have a say, but the audience does, and so Ola and Nina had to leave.

 Nina is a lawyer, but unlike most of the other contestants, she has a background in dance and not music. She has been a dancer since childhood and was a member of a dance group in university. The group also incorporated singing in their performances. The graduate of University of Nigeria Nsukka also manages a spa in Abuja.

 Ola (Olamide in full) is the most laid back among all the Nigerian Idol contestants. The 22 year old undergraduate of Babcock University claims that even though he is the first to sing professionally in his family, his family members are involved in music, whether singing on an amateur level or just appreciating good music.

 Before they left the competition, they performed for one last time.

 Now with two people out of the competition, there are now 11 contestants remaining in the house. Expect things to get tougher and more exciting as these contestants slug it out for the final prize of 7.5 Million Naira and a record deal with Sony BMG.

 Meanwhile, onlookers and ardent followers of Nigerian Idol were perplexed that judge Audu was not at the result show. And even though Anis announced that he missed his flight to Lagos, the questions won’t stop coming in“Did he know that a lawyer would leave?”, “Where is Audu”, “Whatever happened to Audu?” “Has Nigerian Idol sacked Audu”, “why do we just have two judges on the show today” were comments on twitter and facebook last Thursday.

Iyanya music videos shot in Nigeria and Johannesburg were also on the big screen for personalities gathered at Ultima studio,Omole (venue of the unveiling of the album).Comedians such as Seyi Law and M & M also gave us good dosage of humour.Those who worked on the album include Ty Mix,K-solo,OJB and Wazbeat.
