APPEAL COURT DECLARES AREGBESOLA GOVERNOR OF OSUN STATE

[caption id="attachment_2368" align="alignleft" width="495" caption="Aregbesola- Oyinlola"] [/caption] The Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) candidate in the last gubernatorial election, Alhaji Rauf Aregbesola has been declared governor of Osun State. Aregbesola, who was a commissioner for works  in Lagos State, contested the election with Governor Olagunsoye Oyinlola of the Peoples Democratic Party in 2007 but had to go through a three year legal battle before judgment eventually came his way. The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had declared Oyinlola as Governor shortly after the conduct of the election in 2007 The court granted the prayers of Engineer Aregbesola on four out of the five counts he brought before the  election appeal tribunal.
