Dokpesi to testify in Tinubu's Libel case against AIT

Hearing in the N150 billion libel suit filed against DAAR Communications by a national leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Bola Tinubu, has been fixed for May 27. Raymond Dokpesi, the Chairman of the broadcast outfit, is one of the witnesses to testify at the resumed hearing of the suit. Others listed to testify against Mr. Tinubu are Namure Edoimioya, Medan Tenke, Ajibola Adewusi, Olumide Idowu, Stanley Odidi, Nwabueze and Stanley Bassey. Skye Bank Plc Empowers 125 Nigerian Journalists

No fewer than 125 correspondents and reporters across the South West zone would be trained on digital journalism by ‎the Skye Bank Plc. The bank's Head of Corporate Communications, ‎Mr. Rasheed Bolarinwa, disclosed this at the flag-off of the training exercise in Abeokuta with the theme: "Digital journalism in 21st Century." Bolarinwa ‎said the need to improve the capacity of journalists and fill the gap created by the increasing patronage of online journalism in the country informed the training.
